Every morning i get up to get ready for work about an hour early to have a few minutes to myself and always end up watching guitar and bass building but something about Warwick videos are so satisfying... Maybe its because i am a Warwick player now and i have my own piece of art in the other room....
I don't know how I am going to buy a Warwick Thumb, since the one I want is CAD $9,800.00 and I am a poor sonofagun... but I will have one someday, and when that day comes, I will be one happy sonofagun. Warwick, you are the only company that I want to buy a bass from. Everything else is under you, you're the absolute pinnacle of bass guitars.

Thank you very much Evan, we are happy to hear that from you.

Yeah after I got used to my Thumb NT no other bass comes even close. Pretty much every other bass that's not a Warwick that I've tried since feel like toys. I guess it has something to do with the small body and heavy woods.

I only want a Warwick. I honestly don't think any other bass would ever come close to a Warwick. I don't mind some boutique Ibanez, but that's really about it. I like the new SRSC806, but not as much as I like a Warwick.

So sell your old bass and get a big ole chunk of wood! Thumb, Streamer, Corvette, whatev. They all sound good.

Evan Sales there are plenty of Warwicks on the used market, save yourself a lot of cash that way. I have 6 Warwicks and only 2 of them were bought new.
so satisfying to watch the whole processes
I've watched every single MAKING OF video and the NT Thumb is the one I've been waiting for for a LONG time, ! Danke!
Such beautiful instruments Warwick basses are. I own myself a German ProSeries, yeah maybe it's not Custom Shop, but even so, while playing unplugged I can hear and *feel* the vibration of the notes through my chest. I can only imagine it'd be far better on a Custom Shop one!
This video is amazingly beautiful!! Buuut. This music is soooo beautiful!!
Just got a 2007 Corvette standard in red oil finish and a 2011 bubinga Thumb Bolt On, trading this last one for an American Standard 5 string Pbass, a mexican 4 string standard PBass and a bit of cash. And these instruments are simply amazing, like trading a POS clunker to a fine vehicle. Do yourself a favour and if you can, ditch everything you have and get a Warwick.
I just watched this again and immediately jumped online to see if any of the Thumb NT 6 Strings I saw for sale were this one. Sadly they weren’t.
Bucket list bass #2 here
The polishing on that fretboard is insane. The thing is like a freaking mirror.
Wow!
Such a beautiful creation of both instrument as well as melody
Cool seeing how it is made. I’ve got a Streamer LX Jazzman with the MEC pickups and Seymour Duncan amp. What year did Warwick make these basses?

you should be able to put the serial number in their website and it should say... if it is an old bass you can email them the serial number and they will tell you
@Gregsheppo66

The last 2 digits of the serial number is the year of manufacture except 1.
What's with the memory correction foam under the pickups?My old Thumb & current Streamer has springs. Or is the foam a temporary thing to assist in pickup installation?
@FramusWarwickOfficial

Depends on the construction of the pickups. Certain Pickups could result in a short circuit, if thats the case then foam will be installed if not, springs.
I want one
The last time I watched this was before I got my 4 string thumb bass Bolt on. Which I love , bubinga body and wenge neck I believe but man Now I want to move up to a NT 6 string thumb. Maybe find a team built one , I’m sure this is a masterbuilt one straight from Germany.
Very interesting. Just wondering: Do you recycle your sawdust?

seems like warwick 6's have some heavy ass strings. is that a turbo-B string or are they tuned down way lower? like a 5 plus a low F#?
@BeardedDanishViking

All 6 string basses are tuned, from low, B to C, usually.
Quanto está custando o Bass de 6 cordas
How much is this work of art?
Sei que é difícil mas facilita a compra do instrumento
Makes ya wonder how strong that woodglue is that it'll hold the bass together for decades. Weather influences and all. You pay a premium price, but you get quality.

I was thinking the exact same thing during the body gluing
What does it mean that I cried near the end of the video? Does that mean something?
Inception on bass. Pretty good though.
why did you have to use bartolini pickups? they are so ugly and ruins the look.

Pickups aren't for aesthetic purposes, dude.

Probably a custom order, they put in what you ask. Standard Warwicks use MEC pickups. They will do pickup covers if you want, just gotta pay for em.

How are they ugly exactly ? the coils aren’t even visible. What’s ugly is the double coil soap bars that you see on music man. If any pickup is ugly that is. Which is a stretch for me to even name one that is.
warwick make incredible instruments but damn... they should try to waste less wood imo

Hi Soeren, in our production process we cut wooden blocks in a way that we get the most out of every single piece. "Left over" wood from cutting out body pieces i.e. are used to produce other and smaller components like top wood for our hidden neck construction, wooden fingerboard inlays, our also wooden compartment and truss rod covers etc. We even use the energy generated by the produced saw dust that we collect and to heat the facility.
