I love the part with the little kid saying "I taught him everything he knows." Because we all know Michael learned the bases for most of his moves from kids on the street, so knowing him this was a tip of the hat to the kids he got his moves from and I love that. He was so adamant about giving credit where it was due and not many artists, past or present are like that. Love you always and forever Michael ❤️

It's sort of difficult to name only ONE MJ video as his best, he was a genious and I think what he did was so "deep" that we haven't begun to understand/comprehend it all yet. How can you choose only one? I can't. But I will say that this is one of THE best videos EVER made by any artist (most of MJ's videos occupy the list, in my opinion)

I'm not sure but it's main influence is The Band Wagon (1953). Smooth Criminal was actually a tribute to Fred Astaire. If you Google "Fred Astaire The Band Wagon," you'll see he's wearing the same outfit as Michael in Smooth Criminal. Also, if you watch the beginning of that film, you'll see a part where Fred is getting his shoes shined and it will instantly remind you of the part in You Rock My World where they start making a rhythm out of everyday sounds. He was obsessed with that film.
