Weird rich people who buy in spite of the fact just because they have money. I hate people like that. My family owns lots of money (not to brag, its part of the point) but we dont just go spend money for the sake of buying something and for the fact that we have money... some people just need to get their head screwed on right. This type of rich people need to learn that, that money could be spent on something FAR more valuable than this. For gods sake, even donate the money! If anyone reading this is like the person being described, gets offended... you need serious help. I agree with you so much.

Jozlyn Moonlight Same with me. The white is okay, since seems to pop out well against the other colors without it piercing the viewers’ eyes. It just complements the other colors well (in a way, it kinda grasps the viewers attention. What’s the first thing you’ll look at when you see this painting? Probably the white lines). The pink on the other hand, doesn’t exactly go well with the other colors. In my opinion, it’s a hideous shade of pink. It’s like a Pepto-Bismol type of pink.

Nah I think the pink fits well with the other colors, especially the blue. What kinda distracted was actually the orange since it doesn't suit the other colors and is too semi warm in contracts to the "colder" red in this piece. The white was a nice little touch in my opinion.

People get sour about how easy it takes to create abstract art that would sell for millions. Why don't you guys make your own art and try selling it. You speak so much of the industry you know so little about.

  • @carashelton6437

sooooooooo many critics. everyone's an expert. the good thing about art is that there aren't any rules. if the artist enjoyed making this, that's all that matters. maybe we all would have made different choices, and that's the great thing about art. it's so deeply personal and spontaneous. so get off your high horses guys. even if you don't like the color and design choices, the knife techniques are really interesting. smh

  • @AndrewAttackkk

Art is meant to be criticized and interpreted. So 1 your not only wrong....2 its baseless. This isn't art. This is paint smearing. Anyone can do this. Abstract art has its place and has serious depth, but this is just pompous douchbaggery There's no intent behind this.

@@AndrewAttackkk If there was a rule to art, their would be no originality. Just because you don't like it doesn't invalidate this. Anything can be art. Heck, art isn't just about painting. There is someone that appreciated this and that's good. And this isn't totally baseless. He uses texture and a knowledge of color theory.

Everyone saying that they think he should have stopped at a certain point or that they dont think it looked good or the colors combo and the lines didn't look good. It is abstract art, its not made for the intention of "looking good" its not supposed to be limited either. Its supposed to be freeing, the artist paints with emotion or with a care free complex, not for the purpose of making something that other people will think looks good but for the purpose of releasing themselves in a way that they like and how they want to. Art is a free concept and the artist can tell a story, express their emotions, or create something just for the hell of it. And one thing about abstract art is it is completely yours. No one will ever be able to make exactly what you have and that what makes it so freeing and blissful. Be unique, be who you want and let the brush control you for a change you might just end up with something you love.

Yup. The only thing about abstract is finding balance in color composition and shapes yet he still failed in both. The color choices doesnt look good and the only thing that will makes sense about this being an art (at least market wise) is if he provides a "deeper meaning" behind his bad choices.

If there are people who think that it's not art, what about the famous artists who painted a black square in the middle? 🤔 Art could have a meanning or maybe just a right combination of colours. Also, if it's beautiful for the painter.. is art.

As someone who doesn't consider this art, I'd say the exact same thing about a black box in the middle of a canvas. It says nothing to me and doesn't appeal to my sense of aesthetics, so it isn't art. Doesn't matter if the painter considers it art because their interpretation cannot be imposed onto mine or replace it. Long qtory short, it's art for somebody out there, but that somebody isn't me.

Fiorella Vega Valverde. Art does not need to be received positively to be artful. That is the shallow realm of pretty paintings and harmonious color palettes. Artists should be prepared for negativity, as it is also an expression of emotion which is the point of art work, to make people feel. You won't always feel the artists intent and that openness to interpretation is sometimes the point. Also if only the artist's opinion matters it should remain stay off display.

Guys just chill out... Art doesn't have any rules so therefore we cannot say that this paint isn't art, because there are no established rules to follow. Art is about expression of ourselves and/ or representing things, so of course there is going to be a more abstract part and a more realistic part of art because people see emotions in different prospectives: some people don't see an emotion as a realistic image they may see it as a combination of colours etc.. So stop judging, if you don't like it very much then just don't watch it but please at the very least don't make fun of him because you think this is not to be considered art 😉

Wow a lot of the comments are quite negative, A lot quite harsh. I know a lot of them are constructive criticism but I do t think he would appreciate people saying “you can do better” if he still put time and effort into this painting. And all the people commenting saying "oh time and effort? He just splattered paint on a canvas" He could be reading your comments. And I'm going to say this again as I had said to 3 people in my comments, The paint is put there on PURPOSE. He didn't just squirter paint onto a canvas and spread it out on a canvas. It was carefully planned out off screen. And for people saying he barley put time into it, he still took time out of his day to make this for you. He has probably been doing fine arts for years. Building up a skill that he can do a painting in a short amount of time. If your going to comment back negatively to me or use foul language, go ahead. But you also have to understand his techniques. Then I will accept anything you have to say to me.

Revolting Swan But you don’t understand the point on abstract. It doesn’t look like it but those lines at the start placed strategically. Even if it looks like he just smeared a few blobs of paint on a canvas. And he done it so quick because he has probably been doing fine arts for years and by this point he has enough skill to do it in such a short amount of time.

† ScaƦecrøW † It looks like he smeared paint on a canvas. But those lines where carefully placed. That’s the point on abstract. Abstract is not like drawing a picture on a page and painting in between the lines. No. Abstract is about being free with your paint, exploring the possibilities, yet being strategic about where you place the paint.

Very relaxing & enjoyable to watch...and thank you for music that didn't jangle my nerves. To each his own. When you first spread the pink on... wow... it just created a glowing feeling... I love it!! And the white lines,... for many yrs, as a kid or teenager, I'd draw intersecting black lines on plain, white paper.... and, then somewhere in all that, I'd draw one, tiny, maybe 1/8" red dot. I think the red dot was me, kinda trapped amid all those lines... not able to find direction or a way out. When you started adding diagonal white lines... at first, I was thinking..."Oh... No!!" But, then as it progressed, I liked the movement it created. This piece is wonderful!!
