When you remade and listen to this, you must be very proud of yourself that you could actually succeeded to imitate a legendary song. You realized that you are capable to do this. And you did this. A song which was playing when you were just a kid and you didn't know anything about how it's made but now you made it! Congrats.

Its really fuckin simple man. What's hard is recreating modern complex electronic music
@FurkanTopal
2 ай бұрын
@@CJMattias As for the arrangement yes it seems there’s not much going on and doable but I find these kinda songs harder than modern complex ones. Same logic applies on guitar too. Playing guitar faster is easier than playing slow. Why I find these harder, because it has a unique sound and unique feeling and specific samples and drums, and you gotta create late 90s drummings and you gotta give that atmosphere etc. All the plugins are serving for creating the modern ones, last friday I got a serum pack full of other artists sound for example but to remake old legendary songs, it’s not easily reachable imo. You gotta show extra effort than modern complex ones. But that’s my opinion of course you can think reverse.
@_grigoryta
2 ай бұрын
@@FurkanTopal Playing guitar faster is not easier than playing slow. You won't be able to play the same stuff you play at 120 BPM at twice the tempo unless you practice for it gradually raising the tempo or unless the riff or melody is too simplistic or chill to become harder at speed. That's why everyone that learns something new that is above 150 BPM (my rough estimate for when the music becomes harder to follow, take it with a grain of salt) plays it at half or even a quarter of the original tempo first. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast
Holy shit, this is *absurdly* close to the original. Very impressive!

my respect goes through the roof on this one. Freestyler has been my most favorite track since I was 10 years old. No seeing this song being recreated is insane!
With stuff like this, arrangement is one thing, but the sounddesign is absolutely key to a convincing cover. The fact that you recreated some of the most iconic sounds in this track (i would say even in music history) to a level of perfection that it's indistinguishable from the original is very impressive. I can only hear the difference in minor level balances, and maybe the bassline, but it's so fucking close.

This video reminded me of the Jim Pavloff recreation of Smack My Bitch Up. Whilst, and I hope you don't mind me saying this, it's not a perfect sonic recreation of the original (as Jim's was), it's an excellently detailed insight into what we can achieve in Ableton Live and a great showcase of how valuable it is to learn by recreating our favourite songs. The production is amazing, well done. You should be very proud of this, especially the recreations of the stabs, the arp and the sampled parts. 10/10

as a former vynil dj it's so awsome when you can finaly see what you visualised in your head all those years ago, while mixing and sampling tracks, great job my friend. Love it.
First of all, this is a proof of outstanding skills and complete understanding of the subject. Being able to reverse-engineer a composition, re-create every part of it and assemble it back is a true master level. I'd say something like "keep going" but, actually I'd say something like "chill and find the best way to apply your skill". You nailed sound production.
Making art out of art, sampling from other great songs and making a newer great song, then recreating it like that. Man, what a time to be alive, we live in a greatest times ever, wars always existed, but stuff like we have here never in history of humankind. Thank you guys for gathering here for 15 minutes, forget for a minute all your problems and witness the great reality we live in.

Absolutely insane, great work man.
I think i watched a vid you did, recreating Firestarter by Prodigy, That was stunning, this was off the chain feckin Epic. I run StudioOne, and I love it. but you make your use of Ableton, into a Masterclass of how to squeeze the best out of your DAW, without actually recreating the track, but using the original, years ago I did like a re mix/ mashup type thing, and used the Smack my Bitch up line from prodigy over this track, had to tempo match it, sounded great over Freestyler. Keep up the great work.
