Making oak mini-splits with Eastonmade AXIS!
Ойын-сауық
Happy Sunday everybody…!!
In this video, I make mini-splits for an existing customer who owns many different Solo Stoves! She messaged me this morning, asking for a repeat mini-split order for her tabletop stoves, and I filled her order the same day!
Then I start busting up cherry rounds that came in from a new tree service that I recently connected with, before the phone overheated!
Sit back and enjoy!!

Thanks, will do! Thanks for watching!!!
This machine has been on my radar for a while. I've been looking into making mini split wood and have been doing it on a small scale. Will wait to see if people buy it before I invest in a machine for it. Nice machine though.

I ❤️ my AXIS…!!! Mini splits are selling like hotcakes here in New Jersey. As well as smaller splits for other solo stoves!
Nice splitting video 🙂

Glad you liked it!
I don't know if the blade can be set as low as this, but on the back you can set the height the blade of the axis returns to when you release the pedal. That would also make operating the axis for these small pieces a lot safer.

Yes I understand the stroke limiter square shaft. It limits travel for logs 🪵 ~ 14” to 24” and I have her bottomed out. I can also start and stop the wedge at will by holding my foot steady on the foot pedal so I am perfecting my technique. I might ask Andrew for a modified rod…. Thanks for watching and commenting also!
What about scoring a line where the blade comes down exactly at the table so you know not where to put your fingers amd where exactly where to put your cut-offs?

Wow Travis! I like that idea a lot! As soon as I get the work table cleaned up and the orange paint touched up, I’ll def. add a reference line…!!
You need a little umbrella for the phone.😂

Sorry about that. I suppose I need a better mic 🎤 !!! Still learning over here…!! Everything is perfect when the machines are off!
I don’t want to say bad stuff but, I’m worried you’re going to cut a finger off holding onto those little splits. Looks very unsafe to me. I think you’re one distraction away from a severed limb. Be safe & pay attention to what you’re doing.😕

I hear👂what ur saying…. The mini splits aren’t a big seller so far, so I’m perfecting my techniques and holding the chunks with 2 fingers will take some practice. I certainly wouldn’t want to “rush” this process. Thanks for watching!
