Lol they didn't get all of that, I just let them cherry pick their first bites:) and they definitely don't get that much typically. You're definitely right that would be too much daily

I use the one you can find at Aldi. A lot of other shunamite diet makers use this one as well

I make a decent mix in the trash each day

They are awesome pets. Each one has their own little personality, they love to play, A lot of the times they like to cuddle or like to get pets. I grew up with pet rodents so I knew I wanted some as an adult, and ultimately went with rats because they're much more sociable than a lot of other rodents, and they don't smell as bad as something like a ferret 💜
