Ойын-сауық
This is the second foam sack I've made. I got inspiration from Lovesac and decided to make my own. Hope you enjoy it! :)

Here is a STEP BY STEP instruction:

This took me:
* 14 hours to cut all of the foam pieces
* 5 hours sewing by machine
* 1 hour sewing by hand
* 1 hour filling the sac etc.

I used:
✴240x220cm plain sheet
✴170x130cm two side blanket
✴5 of the foam packages á (80x200x3 cm)
✴4x Moisture bags
✴Velcro straps 20mm wide, white.

Maybe use a meat grinder for the pieces? It will ruin the grinder but it wouldnt be an issue if you only use it for styrofoam

I love the fact that you have used two different fabrics for the cover. That is something new. Thank you for sharing.
Once I saw you cutting up those tiny cubes, I had to pause & hit the like "button." This is tedious & fantastic! Great job! Now I know what to do w my random bed foams left over from college. Ma'am, consider this idea borrowed (stolen). Lol.

Would a rotary cutter work on the foam?
I give you props girl. You did it all by HAND. I would have quite halfway and that project would've been sitting arouns for years. You GO GIRL!!
Holy cow your genius ! I spent over a thousand dollars on mine ! I’m buying one from you next time 🤘🏻

But if you calculate the time to make this (21 hours) at roughly $30/hr, you're in the same realm as buying one.
Please make another one. I love watching the videos. There's hardly any videos on lovesac diy! Thanks for sharing!
This is some amazing swedish ingenuity!! I love it!
I straightaway gave you thumbs up, when I saw you cutting those foam pieces. 👍Very beautiful bean bag you have made.
That's an admirable long stretch of hard work. Sometimes it's not just a bottom line that matters. Days are only so long, and some people aren't that strong.
This is very cool and your skills look like they have developed even more over the the past year!
OMG! I love your cat! It is so cute!
wow huge love for your talent
Omg, fantastic, when I saw you cutting the foam I was like oh hell no. Lol. Luv it!
This is what I was searching for...Thanks! but would have been much better if it was shown in normal speed,(at least the cutting & sewing parts) but still appreciate your effort :) Thanks again for making this video
Wow your very talented and lots of people would pay you well for these.

This looks so comfortable!!!! I want one!!! 😪😪😪
If you have lots of time but not lots of money, this is the way to go. My roommate and I had a massive Love Sac in college back in 2004 before they cost an arm and a leg. I've wanted another one every since.
Fantastic!👍😁

14 hours just to cut all the pieces? That is really the hard way. The bag looks super comfy though
Do you have the measurements for the larger bag? I love this and SO HAVE TO MAKE ONE!!! Thank you for sharing 🥰🙏🏻
Livsfarlig! somnar varje gång jag testar den XD

Hi! Do you know if your foam was standard or high density? I want to make one of these but don't really know wich filler I should buy. How is your bean bag structure now after years of use?
Great job ..but I just kept looking for Ur cat ..she/ he is so cute

Hey ! Thanks for the video. Do you have an idea of how many litters does it represent ? Actually, polysteren is a bit expensive 😅. Hard to answer I guess haha sorry
what are moisture bags? do you mean anti moisture absorption bags moisture absorbing indicating like silica gel packets? can you recommend one and also if any foam will be soft and good? can the same fabric be used as liner (same as the cover itself)
Dat cat doe😍😍😍
Lol your cat is so cute
They are awesome You should make and sale them
I'm sold
Can you put a link for the double sided blanket please?
I just made one of these foam sacs and it turned out great! I actually just uploaded a video about it, if you want to check it out. Thanks so much for these awesome instructions!
Great job. I would like to make it. What is the fabric you used for housing the foam and for the outer layer? How durable is the foam. Do we need to change after a certain period or they remain all along?
@DjosieN
5 жыл бұрын
Im glad! I used polyether foam to this sac, it was the only option for me here in sweden. Look around what kind of foam that is clean and you can get your hands on. The inner fabric that holds the foam is 100% cotton. I used a plain sheet. The outer fabric is polyester fabric. I dont think you need to change. Just sew them correctly and you should be fine.

So, crazy question,what material do you think would be good for this if you have cats that like to sharpen claws on furniture? seriously though?
Where did you get the foam and is it open cell foam? Thanks
You used foam mattress or mattress topers? What kind did you use? Where did you get them?
@DjosieN

it was ''hobby foam'' We have it in sweden where i live. So i cant tell what options you have, but i just got it in a regular furniture shop.
👏👏👏👏
Grymt! Båda två ser riktigt fina ut :) Vad får den för "konsistens"? Är den ganska fast, eller kan man ändra formen lätt när man sitter iden? Funderar nämligen på att göra en men vet inte om jag ska använda mig av skumgummi eller något annat...
@DjosieN
6 жыл бұрын

i bought it in a local store here in Sweden. I guess you can find some similar ones where you live :)
Hello! regarding the bigger version in the back you wouldn't happen to know the measurements? I want to make a big one like that but I am not sure how to go about it regarding size, any advice.
@DjosieN
6 жыл бұрын
Yes, i used a twoside-blanket that was 220cmX150cm. So the two circles were ~84 cm in diameter and the cylinder was 95cm in diameters. So the cylinders measurements is 3meters around and 136 cm long. So you are gonna sew the edges of the cylinder (3m) together. If its hard to understand, just look at the picture i posted down in the description but change the measurements. Good luck 😊

Hey, @Josefin Larsson, I would like to ask you what is the difference between the material you use to put inside the beanbag and the EPS material (the small white balls)?

I used simple foam like from a mattress. In other beanbags there are styrofoam balls.
