Happy birthday Kyle’s mom! Guys, remember we are here because we enjoy the knife making process. Skipping over a large chunk of the grinding with spark videos and spongebob references is frustrating for me because I love to watch the process. I get the forging is messed up because of a card failure. But we didn’t get much grinder action, and that’s one of the hard parts. This was an opportunity to see new grinding and I feel like it was kinda skimmed over.

Because of Kyle I built a primitive forge and now I'm spending my spare time black smithing! Thanks Kyle real smooth! You know some people are very impulsive and don't think things through! I hope someday to be at least. 3% ( +/- 10 of error ) as good as Kyle, he is the badass of the bad!

That's awesome, Jay!! You'll get there, each knife will be a learning curve and that much closer. I remember when Kyle first started I was like, I can't wait until he can make a normal handle on a knife, it'll be so cool (all he could do was a very simple antler handle he couldn't shape a handle) you've got this! ~ Mom (Patti)

When I first watch Kyle I was inspired and started carving swords out of wood ( with all different wooden pieces just like how Kyle builds, instead of how your supposed to, from a single wooden piece which is easier) and I got a good response and even amazement, and do you know why? Because of the fluted the handle! I didn't even know what fluting was before Kyle. I have been carving wooden daggers and swords with scabbarbs trying to make them look like Kyles and then I watch Mr Royer build a simple forge. So I made one using the things I had which was dirt, old drawer, a brake rotor a vacuum cleaner and now I making my first steel knife and it's coming out ok. ( my shop set up can be compared to one from medieval Europe except they had better tools ) Because of Royers and Kyle, that boy can build! Thats the most beautiful sword anyone has ever laid eyes on! I would take Kyles sword over any of those Japanese Katana! I don't care how old nor which masters built it, or in what century! Kyle's sword is just drop dead gorgeous! It even blew away those two over on that show what is it " Man at Forge " when they introduced Kyle they were like......dude this guy is bad! You could even see the envy in the Asian guys face. I can tell you one thing there was subtle recognizable differnces with their introduction to Royers than anyone person I seen on that show! ( that's where I first seen Kyle! ) You should send some blades over to that KZreadr " Skallagram "( the MEMA instructor out England with over a million followers ) so he can review them, he probably make a whole show out of them! It'll blow him and his audience away just like the thousands of others who seen these Masterpieces!

I just don't understand why this channel is not at 500k subs or more. You do awsome work and inspires me to be more detail oriented with my miniature painting hobby

First of all: Happy Birthday! Hope the day has been filled with joy and celebration! Thanks for another great video and what a knife it will be. I love clean designs a little extra and this one seems to go that direction?.. Quite new here... What I really appreciate with this channel (part from the the extremely beautiful things you make) is the good balance between pedagogical explanations, speed of progress, humor and iron(y) along with sessions of letting the progress, tools and materials speak for themselves. So, you're doing so well, from handcraft, via 'behind the scenes' to the filming and editing! 👌🇸🇪

GENIUS! The handle of an adjustable wrench for pushing on the grinder. It has been right in front of me, all along (with a big adjustable wrench always hanging right next to the KMG so I can change or fix the angle of the platen). Rounded, so you can move the material across it easily or push at an angle. Damn. Why didn't I think of that! :)
