I'm so glad to see your review of this! I saw your miniatures last year, and I thought they were adorable, but, like you, I wasn't a fan of all the plastic waste. I've seen lots of book nooks, but never this brand of kits but I'll definitely be checking them out. Maybe you could paint the boots so they're not such a bold color?

I'll be painting them for sure, and yes this one was so much better plastic wise!

This is really cute. I had not seen these before. It is hard to resist getting one, as it is so cute. Great job putting it together. I like seeing some of your other interests. :-)

It came out so cute! 🙌 I love making miniature things, it’s so fun to watch. You should go in with some purple or blue paint & paint the boots friend. & you can always reuse those wood trash pieces to craft other mini things for your apartment 💡like tiny tables or cabinets.

E6000 is my all time favorite adhesive! So easy to use, clean up is easy on hard non porous surfaces and adheres such a wide array of things! Glad you were happy with the finished product, it was so cute!

E6000 is such a winner, I will say I think I prefer the smelly version though

So fun and cute! Just for future reference, Elmer's glue is not acid-free so it will yellow over time. Whenever I do crafts or art with glue, I always use acid-free so it will look good, long-term. There are some white glues on the market that are acid-free but have the same consistency and flow as Elmer's. Japanese brands specialize in that because crafts are so super popular in Japan. Also, you could either paint the boots with paint used for train models, or you could remove them and cover the spot on the floor with a tiny rug, if they really start to bother you.
