Thank you Ford for having the imagination, desire, technology, and most of all leadership and a team with the balls to bring this car to the street. As a lifelong muscle car guy who has nothing but respect for what technology has allowed performance cars do today the GTD is a much-needed breath of hope in light of the green direction everything mechanical is going. I am convinced that no one truly believes that doing away with the few high-performance cars built today is going to save the planet. That's what happens when you "choose" to follow a greasy wheel that deep in your soul you know is going to fall off. Sadly, when the inevitable happens it will be too late to bring back the American Hot Rod that made a select few cars Icons in the automotive arena. Cars like the Mustang GTD are what will find their way into the hearts of young boys and girls who hear the sound, see the style and dream of sitting behind the wheel to feel the power. I see the kid playing with his toy car at the beginning of the film and can't help but imagine that could have been Carol Shelby a few decades earlier. Dreams indeed become reality when the means are available to bring them to life. I'm 61 years old, I was that kid about 50 years ago. Performance cars made my dreams not just a reality but a hobby I have pursued with the utmost passion to this very day. Well done Ford.

You won’t be getting behind the wheel of the GTD unless you are at least a multi-millionaire. The starting price on that bad boy is $325,000. Ford built this car in limited production for the elites of the world, not for the common folk which was Ford’s original intention when they first introduced the Mustang. The GTD is an incredible car, and as a Mustang enthusiast and former owner of a 2014 GT, the GTD is one I can only dream of. I can only hope Ford mass produces one similar to the GTD with some of its features standard on the GT, GT500, etc. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Coletti had the Terminator, Farley has the GTD. Can’t believe this will come. Amazing. Dodge, Chevrolet… are you listening? This is what gearheads want. Not battery, not a bunch of quitters…. We want creativity from a skunkworks group such as this. And a ICE V8. 👍💪🇺🇸🦅

That does do justice to what a true Mustang is. Not the disappointing electric Mustang suv. Mustang is a sports car from the start. Not a family car.
