So well-researched. Captures the soul of old Bombay
They don't use Mozzarella... They use giant blocks of processed cheese from India's favourite dairy brand, Amul. It tastes like a sharp cheddar with just the right amount of that processed, manufactured flavour that we all love (re: processed American Cheese blocks/cubes/slices). It's absolutely fantastic and elevates the sandwich by adding a creamy, fatty, tangy element rather than the basic flavour of a plain mozzarella.

Now I just need more Pruebela and Stump Sohla & Kendall, been missing them
So, is this like a non-canon crossover? Or, is it an alternate timeline separate from the main BCU Continuity? How will this affect future installments in the BCU? Is Kai the big bad that has been slowly built up over the course of a decade, only to be included in the main timeline for the biggest crossover event of the century? Will all heroes team up to battle Kai in the new movie in the BCU called "Babish: Infinity Whisk"? Will Andrew ultimately sacrifice himself in "Babish: Eggame" to finally defeat Kai once and for all? Only time will tell, my friends.
What I love about Andrew is that when he first introduced Sohla to the channel, he rename the channel completely to include others as well. He could have just kept the original name "Binging With Babish" and continued to have others hosting their individual segments. BUT he made the name inclusive to not not just make it about himself but also have the same amount of spotlight and acknowledgement for other hosts too. It's beautiful Andrew and I want to hold your face and kiss you shiny head and say Mama Mia!! 😄❤️😄❤️

It’s potato masala The black is most probably is soya sauce and I thing chat masala was not supposed to used while cooking, it is used after cooking just sprinkle it or mix it at the end after cooking The the cunky mushy masala is made with mashed potatoes and tomatoes
This is becoming a multiverse and I'm all here for it.
I think the first episode of BWB I ever saw was the Timpano from Big Night. Andrew was still using that Chromeo song and all his videos from that era were copyright claimed which is a bummer. But they are still very iconic. And here we are 9.5 million subs later. Congrats dude!

Yes, love this cross-over. More Kai everywhere please
For some reason, seeing Kashmiri chilli was surprising lol I've just never seen it in non-Indians' recipes for Indian dishes
This looks great! However, as a true blue Mumbaikar, i need to say that the paneer component is more likely to be paneer chilly, which is an Indo-Chinese soy sauce based appetizer that is often used as a filling in wraps and sandwiches. The tamarind chutney is rarely used as a flavouring for a sandwich filling and I've only ever seen it as a condiment served on the side with fried foods and in chaats. Also, the tomato-bell pepper (aka capsicum) masala very likely also contains boiled mashed potato, which is a very popular addition to Bombay sandwiches! All things considered though, seeing as you only had a few shots to go off of to help you recreate this sandwich, this is a great attempt! Can't wait for the next part in this series!
This has to be the most flavorful sandwich to ever exist! I can only imagine what it tastes like with amount of spices and herbs packed into there

The collabs for the food community on KZread is the best
That's neat - I had actually just recently discovered Senpai Kai via the Shorts feed, and now he's here with basically a sandwich cake with promises of potentially more street food? I'm in. Do some Korean style corn dogs! I swear some of those are just genius. I also made some egg cornbread muffins I saw in a different video once that were great, but seeing an actual professional do it would also be interesting.
Never thought I'd be so happy to see Sonny even mentioned in the Babish Culinary Universe
Your knife skills are some of the best I've seen on KZread. Those consistently even dices are 👌👌👌
The senpai Kai induction into the BCU is crazy! I live this!
This is a crossover I never knew I needed so badly
Senpai Kai always was one of those few shorts cooking channels that stood out to me. Really nice to see him!
Reminder that if you do just one layer of this, with tomatoes, cucumbers, the mint chutney, chaat masala (with black salt) and grated processed cheese, like just any block of processed cheese, you've got a classic Mumbai sandwich that you can eat in one sitting as a quick snack
Love this guy and his narration
Nice to see Senpai in the BCU, and in a longer video haha. Hopefully get to see more of his cooking!!

As a mumbaikar.. I was really happy to see dish from my city featured on the babish Channel.. I approve of the sandwich, but that tomato masala that you made, lacks potatoes.. A staple of mumbai sandwiches.

You know what's better than the Boondocks? The english version of The Boondocks with the japanese opening.
the paneer is actually marinated in the gravy of ching paneer chilli masala
A fantastic idea for a series with a fantastic host. Great stuff.
Guys, don't worry with the grinding, ingredient gathering etc etc. You can get chaat masala, green chutney, Amul cheese (best for these Mumbai sandwiches), sandwich masala etc etc in the nearby Indian store or Patel brothers. Also, use only Amul butter. Please and thank you!
I love food series that look at street food. Never really thought about a series with street food recipes. Live the idea, looking forward to the next one
The paneer was not marinated with a tamarind sauce, it was most probably a store bought Barbeque or Tandoori sauce, source - I live a kilometre away from Om Snacks.
Can't wait for Senpai to try making the famous Thai crab omelette
I want more street food with Senpai Kai, didnt know him but i love this approach
I enjoyed your upbeat style, the fun edits, and your high personality voice over. I'm betting that almost nobody watching this vid has any intention of creating this beast, so it's plenty entertaining to see you take it on.
His first episode and I already trust the quality of his work based on the Boondocks shirt alone
7 months ago Super excited for this new series! Looking awesome already👌
everytime i think thats all, there cant be any new formats .. there comes another. And i like it!
Nice to see you on here kai. Keep up tha great work
The most insane sandwhich truely, hyped up for this series 🥳🥳
Happy to see a small feature from another of my favourite food channels and extremely excited to see another person added!
Honestly I think you find the best meals when getting street food, sure your 4 and 5 star restaurants will make incredible food but honestly there's so much heart and soul that goes into it and that really does shine through. I'd take a meal on the side of the road somewhere in Vietnam over a 7 course tasting menu every day of the week! Absolutely love the idea for this series and can't wait to see more!
The only cheese that should be used is Amul Cheese. Mozzarella would be a close 2nd, but amul cheese has that sharpness of cheddar but melts like mozzarella.
Looks tempting.going to try it
Welcome to the BCU, Kai. You're going to fit in just fine.
Love the content and the more "instructional" voice. When he says stuff like "yo, this gonna be a sick thumbnail" it just sounds really forced and kind of cringe though.
Just watching this video has inspired me to go to gym.

I want to make this 😍 it looks like something you could make for a party with one simple modification. After it's made cut it into egg roll sized shapes from the top down and roll it into rice paper and fry it. So it won't be as messy but still super delicious and you get every layer.
