    What ounce of leather did you use for the sole??? it must've been at 10 or 12 ounce to get the all through the middle of the edge

    Those were beautiful moccasins. I use hemostats to pull the needle through leather. Have you ever tried them? They are a little easier on your hands in stubborn places because they lock in place.🤗🐝❤️

    How are you threading your sinew? Is it doubled or did you split it first? Knoted at the end?

    It is split and then doubled. Depending on the thickness of the sinew I sometimes split it in 3rds. I also use beeswax on my sinew

    Which side is the rougher side? When you turn it right side out, is it the felt side or the shiny side?

    Felt side is the rougher side or flesh side. The shiny side is the outside of the animal where the hair was

    The upper is approximately a 1/2" longer on the toes and extends to about 2 inches past the heel. After you sew up your heel trim off the excess

    No, the rosette in this example was made using a single needle technique

    Do you mean the sole of the moccasin. We use vegetable tanned rawhide for our soles and when they wear out, we replace them. It depends on your use of your moccasins. If you wear them on grass and on dance grounds they can last several years. If worn on concrete and in an urban environment they will wear out much faster.

    Yes, it is the same as the Women's moccasin but the Mens style has a tongue added and a drawstring.
