Making JCB 4CX bucket fit quickhitch headstock
Ғылым және технология
In this video I change the brackets on a JCB 4cx front bucket to fit onto its new quick change headstock.
The old hangers were removed using arcair gouging powered by my tecarc welder. New brackets were drawn up using Onshape, then cnc gas cut out on the Kutavar cnc table. The remains of the old welds were ground smooth, paint ground away and then the new JCB brackets were welded into place. Nice straight forward job, this one.
Hope you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for watching!

That new plasma table, particularly with the software must be saving a lot of time. At the same time allowing you to do things that previously would have been harder to do.
Nice job as usual, taking a photo and using that as a template is a pretty good feature, looks like your getting use to the table.
I think you do amazing work with some high tech equipment, the cutting table is superb. Well done young man!
Excellent work again Oliver. Your descriptions of your thinking and problem solving are very instructional as well as interesting.
Great engineering and execution, Job well done. Smart wearing breathing device especially when grinding old coated surfaces as it vaporizes all the compounds in the coatings/paints when ground and these vapors are never safe for breathing. It might on future up dates be worthwhile to try to shorten the top link by about 2-3" to get tilt equal in both directions. More power on the plasma if you are going to cut a lot of materials this thick. Ray Stormont
Oliver, I'm guessing you have been practicing with that sledge hammer! A few weeks ago you said you weren't very good with it, but you sure taught those ears a lesson. Love your engineering skills and outathebox thinking. That cutting table is just what you needed, too. Thanks for another stimulating and enjoyable video!
That was an interesting job, needing quite a bit of precision to make sure it all fitted correctly. Definitely a much better idea with the quick connect system to change implements than having to knock out pins to change them.
Oliver i would hate to see your Electricity Bills😂 i just hope your Customers understand the Underlying Costs & outlay involved in producing such fine precision Engineering you do in your workshop its success for the future is in the Pricing.Turnover is Vanity ,Profit is Sanity. Wish you great success in your Enterprise you have More than Proved your Skill in these Videos, & you are an Ambasador to the Youth watching these Videos which in turn,May enlighten the youth of today that there is a very good chance for their Futures ,possibly following your Footsteps & Becoming successful adults in the same Field as youhave Achieved. From Ireland i wish you well.
Im caught up to Wes and watched all Olivers stuff. His videos are as professional as his work.
Great Video! Love the profile cutter at work. Nice catch with the 2mm plate test. The sledge hammer and welding helmet gives a great Darth Vader look as well.
Excellent as always. You know you are doing all the right things when your Hen has a featured inspection. Thank you for posting.
On your way to 100,000 subs Olly, you deserve it. The new table is jolly marvellous and will be a great money maker. I’m looking forward to seeing some 100mm plate get sliced & diced. Regards Pete.
Your quality of work is consistently getting better every video.
Great to see the CNC working from the photos didn’t expect anything else from snowball engineering class act extremely well done 🇮🇪
I will watch anything you put on this channel you are a true engineer very skilled
Saw the plaque you did for Olly Blogs. Looked great
Hi Oliver those welds looks mint - is it ok to ask what settings you have the welder on may help others too to get it right for welding thick stuff 👌
Another effective and efficient change up for an owner, nicely done!
Your cnc table is impressive I couldn’t believe how nice the gas torch worked. Nice work thanks for sharing
Bloody brilliant job! Not many can do that

Another enjoyable fabrication video. Thanks for posting, cheers.🚜
Awesome content and educational as always! Thanks for bringing us along😊
Have the same issue with flies here, and where I sub contract welding. They're really attracted to the arc!
Enjoy the videos. I can see your expanding your skills and experience. I'm sure your shop will grow to handle more diverse jobs. Cheers.
More quality engineering and fabrication Olly. Great work and lovely finish
Your new cutter is mastered !
Hello from the USA.....excellent job Oliver! That plasma table is a life saver for your type of work.
Fantastic work I really enjoyed the video

Nice work Jon. Was very helpful as I will be making something very similar to this for my mill. Thanks mate.
Oliver can see big improvement in you're gouging its getting there, again you're eye for detail is second to none the new table is awesome regards and stay healthy 👍🚜🚜⚙️
Game changing kit the pain of paying for it will be forgotten with the new avenues it will bring
Please do record the other jobs for this digger, even if they’re quick, it’ll be interesting to see for a non-farmer like me!
It's impressive that you used arcair gouging powered by your tecarc welder to remove the old hangers👍
Great, mr Snowball! Never seen such a bucket with hydraulics on, but always learning something! Handy stuff, the CNC..
Nice to see your new CNC at work! Great addition to your shop! Great video/work! Keep it up! Thanks for sharing! 👌👍

Looks like some wet weather over there at the moment. Here in Queensland Australia, we have another drought and the place is as dry as a bone. Dams are getting low and the water tank is around 3/4 full now. We could do with some of your rain.
Fantastic job.
Splendid job thanks.
good call on the template making. CEE and Olly Blogs in one video. Excellent.
Another top job,
Looks much nicer than before .

Another good job. That cutting table and software have some great features. I feel like I am learning a lot with each different job. Send some of that rain over. We are burnt to a crisp. No real rain in weeks. Temperature got up to 38C today. Supposed to be even hotter next few days. And only Spring. Don't miss the cold. But you can have a bit too much heat too.
looking good so far ..boy you get a lot of bucket work ..
Great job and love the farming piece towards the end…Bambi 😅👍🇬🇧
Great work again!
Absolutely brilliant video
Outstanding filming!
Again, a nice job done!❤
Great job. 👍
Good job young sir !
Great work, enjoyed this project
Nice to see that new table working out for you! Great investment.
Good project/job, great video!
Good job!
Excellent as usual.
Amazing workmanship, it’s not a farmers fix on any of Snowball’s projects the farmer brings him. A big hello from Rotonda West Florida USA on the Gulf of Mexico.
1st time watching now all will want this on any front bucket machine you're a great engineer
Awesome video, great work. Thank you Oliver
Always looking forward to a new videos from you. Great work
Top job yet again, would like my time again and do more of that.
Amazing work chap!
Nice job. It's fun watching you work.
You're a smart man making those trials first in 'cheaper' material.
Kutavar looks sweet. Need to convince my boss to get one.
Great job.
Great Job Oliver . Variety makes the World go round , keep it up Buddy
Good job as usual, especially when you consider it's that time of year now when you just can't be fu**ed cos it's cold, wet, damp and miserable
Excellent work
Love it good hard work
Really great videos. Look after your eyes mate, they look strained as. Cheers
top little job there Snow. 👍👍👍👍👍
Efficiency top work! Taking a photo and entering it with some dimensions in the CNC, I didn't know this could be so simple..

First channel I've seen with a shop inspecting chicken. Other channels have either a dog or a cat!
Try spraying some white paint on the part and laying it down on a dark surface. The color contrast will help with the detail/precision of the drawing in the softwear
I'm here from watch wes work recommend this guy is a good craftsman
Brilliantnt! I’d keep that magnet around for pulling your products off the table. I worry for your back on some of this stuff. That bucket should be sandblasted before you paint it, but… that’s just me.
@25:00. I want to tear that plastic off the black trim on the kutavar. It’s driving me mad. Looks so satisfying! 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Nice job mate looking great
This is pretty cool, enjoy your videos.
Nice job again 👍. Like your ground clamp.!
Nice job - again
