I want to make something special for my Friends wedding so I have decided to make them a pair of fork and knife. I will be using brass and maple for this project.

Uri, I work as a repairman of brass instruments in the states. I suggest, if you want a higher finish by hand, a product called miracle cloth. I don't know of the availability where you are but it is mainly cloth soaked in coconut oil. It really shines up brass and brings it to a pretty high luster.

Dr. Locklear I would be careful with that and try and stick to washing your Trumpet with water, but I suppose if you wanted to you could use that.

Spray glue! You need spray glue. It is the savior the glue-dripping nation and has saved my sanity and the appearance of my work in many many cases.

I love your videos! I do a lot of wood work with chisels and hand tools and learn with every project. All I can say from personal experience is no one is as critical as the Maker of the project. Your engraving is beautiful!

Great video mate. Here's a tip, instead of gluing felt to wood, try this stuff called "flocking" which works great and has no edges.

I know your pain... once made 3 teapots with the spout upside down... Didn't notice until I was trying to use it. Had to look at the first teapot I had ever made to realize what went wrong.

You should use glue and loose flocking instead of felt. Much cleaner outcome but can be messy. I always flocked into a garbage bag so I could reuse the left over material. Keep up the good work I love your engraving and how you keep it low tech. It really shows your growth as an artist.

How about make a simple sharpening fixture so you can have precision cutting angles on all your chisels then engrave the fixture with the freshly sharpened graver
