    I have ALWAYS wanted to create costume things like this to provide for my wonderful clients and just have fun with as an artist myself!!! Thank you for the amazing tutorials as you make things look so much simpler. Someday I'll have the funds to buy the more tools and supplies I would need. I'm now subscribed! P.S. Wish I could donate to the zoo too but I hope and pray they reach their goal! Those babies are all important.

    Hey Zonbi!! This is a really great cause to raise funds for. I think it's amazing you're able to talk about it so well in the video too :O I have a question about your rotary tool if you didn't mind answering it. Is your rotary tool hanging off some kind of hook or support when you're using the extendable flex-shaft? Or is it just rattling around on the table, etc. I'm happy to just go out and buy a hook-stand for it but if there was another option available I'd love to hear it. Thank you so much!!

    Do you use measurements when drafting your patterns or do you just eyeball it and fit? These pieces look AMAZING! Your armor shading is always on point and really adds some depth and life to otherwise flat pieces.

  • @GraceWillow

    @GraceWillow

    5 жыл бұрын

    Thank you so much! Sometimes I do exact measurements and other times I just "eyeball it", hold it up to myself, and adjust it as needed. Other times I use the duct tape & plastic wrap method to make my patterns.

One thing I love about you is you just draw the pattern and go for it. Sometimes being a perfectionist can hurt because you redo your patterns so many times. XD lol

    How do you get the plastidip to apply so smoothly? Whenever I try to use it it always ends up with a small bubbly texture, even if I use the thinnest layers or thickest layers or anything in between, and it also seems to be less opaque than how yours sprays on... not sure if I’m missing an integral instruction for application or something 😰 do you heat seal your foam before using plastidip? Thanks for your helpful videos!!

  • @Mossyfox

    @Mossyfox

    5 жыл бұрын

    It's best if you let your Plastidip warm up for a little while before usage! Get a container full of hot/warm water and let it sit in it,shaking it every once in a while. Once the can is warm,shake it for a few minutes and give your armor a few coats of it,letting it dry between each layer. Warming up the plastidip will help it apply much more smoothly! (Make sure to shake/warm the can between coats as well!)

    I've said this so many times and I have to say it again so sorry no money bin dumpster diving have some motorcycle parts and different things and pieces and chunks got some rubber plastic trying to make my own sheets of material thinking of using 5 gallon drums you know the paint buckets and seasoning wood and stuff like that hope to catch up sometime to all of you creators Builders and makers damn this is so awesome one concern though I've seen a lot of people have been content with doing stuff like gluing a visor into their helmets never liked that idea ever want more and yes I probably will have to do that myself LOL have some ideas don't know if any of them at all are genuine but I see that many people have formed the legs and the Torso and the arms hopefully sometime soon in the future I'll be able to say and I'll form the head thank you for your video much love from Connecticut
