Making Electromagnetic Vise
Thanks to the magnetic clamp the vice makes work much easier and faster. The electromagnet is strong and can withstand the overloads that occur during with ease. For the construction I used two electromagnets from the comopressor of a car air-conditioning system, a make the electromagnets more powerful I had to grind down a out one milimetra of the top surface of the electromagnets. I connected them in parallel and supplied them with 12 V DC.

I love it, free style vice clamping, no more Tee bolts or swerving the table around. Thank you.
Well done! From a number of your videos, I have already incorporated a number of your ideas in my own applications, though admittedly, not as good nearly as yours. But, they're definitely improving as a direct result from watching what you've made. Keep up the great work! Seriously, thank you for sharing!

What an awesome idea. Great job building it.
Brilliant idea and fantastic build. The only design change I would make it to have a press button, and put it on the top button, so that turning it on doesn't nudge it out of place.

Incredible in form and function.Old style craftsmanship with current tools. Technical thanks
Awesome build! Tacking parts together to drill perfectly aligned holes without lots of measuring seems genius! I had no idea you could get such powerful magnets out of car AC motors! I will have to look into this!! Hole saw at 13:21 looked red hot!! now wire that power supply to the motor on the drill so that when you turn the drill on, the vise locks, and when you turn the drill back off it releases!

I wish you would add some subtitles about the material used and/or where you found certain things;i.e., the magnets, the cylinders used for the all thread, aluminum or steel, ya know just some need to know stuff. Thanks. And keep up the great work!

Thank you :) used metal plates 8 mm thick, 10 x 50 mm flat rods, 20 x 40 mm square rod, 20 mm trapezoidal screw and round nut, magnets removed from the air conditioning compressors remaining after the previous car connected in parallel, 12 V DC power supply A. When I am at home, I will make accurate measurements because I don't remember at the moment

Love the hydraulic vice, (work smart not hard).👍
Good idea. I wonder if it would hold for slot and milling cutters? Might be an idea to put a thin sheet of plastic under the magnet to make it easier to remove steel and iron shavings and dust. I guess they would build up into a messy pile.
Very nice. You should've half hinged the top threaded bushing to be able to lift it up and push the vice closed. Then tighten it down by a quick turn.

I love your builds and I will be incorporating a number of the ideas in my own shop. The quality of this build is no different, but what is the application of this vise ? What type of projects will you be using it on ?
Oh I need this.
You're doing great! You need a lathe, even better if you find a relic to be restored, it would be an amazing content to share!!

@@WorkshopFromScratch i did overcame logistics by getting a Bv21 lathe, a small but sturdy china import, later i added a Cortini H75 a mini lathe but really well made, I believe this one is something like 40 yrs old. You seem to have great crafting skills, that's why I thought a lathe would serve you well
