I have to say that your aunt is so lovely and very beautiful as well. She has such a spirit within her that shines through. I thought you did very well with your flowers. Some of Marie's lessons must have sunk in and even if they hadn't, the flowers you chose would look lovely no matter what.

What I love about your Aunt is that she is so positive and encouraging.

You should make a corner in your garden for growing the foliage! Plant some eucalyptus etc and you’ll have it each year for free!

Hothouse flours are a full-time job . They did bring their own evergreens but keeping everything available takes more work than Dann an Mumy could put in or would cost other projects. I thought about growing my own fleshy tomatos and figured I would have to cover the entire gardens 3x for that...so it's cherry tomato treats for me.

They do have some plants they use indeed for greenery in flower arrangements. It would be wonderful if they could add a cut flower garden bed for permanent plants like roses, tulips, lavender..... Year round flowers and or foliage would be very useful! Especially if you don't feel guilty about cutting it because it what it was ment for. It

The landscape was stunningly beautiful today - all of the trees were white with hoarfrost, and there was a bright blue sky, yet still occasional patches of mist. Spectacular!

I'm sure someone already mentioned this, but the floristry tape is not sticky until you pull it! THEN it becomes sticky and you tightly wrap it around flowers. That's as far as my flower arranging knowledge goes...hope that helps!

The florest tape sticks to it self with the warmth from your hands. I used to to make my own bridal flowers. It was very easy to work with for that.

Ahhhh, too cold in the chateau. Probably why it didn’t work! I have this problem with my mousepad on the laptop. When I get too cold it won’t take my finger touch!

The flowers are lovely. When my sister and I put together artificial arrangements we would spritz them with a spray glitter, usually gold but silver, or even pink. I wonder if it would work with fresh flowers. Incidentally, your Aunt must be a very good girl, judging by her beautiful diamonds.

Another lovely vlog and it was also lovely to see Kat and Nicky on Marie’s latest vlog.

The flowers are really beautiful and will look stunning with Philip’s Great Grandfather’s dinner service! Lovely to see Marie and also to get her approval of the flowers!

You should have cut a cork ore something that fitted the opening on the candles and push a few toothpicks in and fixed the oasis on that or find some old fashioned flower frogs to fix the oasis with.And like Marie says you should green up first! I have an idea -- the clusters of red berries that you bought are St. John's Wort, which flowers heavily with buttercup-like blossoms in the summer, then makes those red capsules. You might want to put in a row of them in your secret garden area.

The story about the 3 table cloths laid on the table is so beautiful.

The flowers are beautiful. Make sure you keep them cool, so they don't fade before the holidays. Your turtle center piece won't look like that once it's on the table. You'll have that table full of glasses, candles ect. that you won't see the shape, you'll just see the flowers. Your aunt is very goos at flower arrangements, as are you. Job well done ladies.

So getting it out of the way I adore the red and white jacket. The cherub candle sticks as flower pedestals was such a creative idea. Well done. Adds so much. Your Aunt is so sweet. What a joy to have family there this Christmas.

Red sky at night, shepherds' delight. Red sky in morning, shepherds' warning. It's about whether the next day will be windy or not. Always a stable weather sign.

The "turtle" centerpiece is absolutely lovely and well planned for guests to be able to talk over as well as have Christmas festive segments. It's PERFECT. So are your aunts cherub arrangements. I love how distance, time, and present difficulties could not keep Marie, great grandparents, and grandma from making an appearance to contribute to the (I can't resist) life, love, and laughter of the Holiday! The day brought about a riot of colour, so wonderful! What comes to mind was one of the purposes of the Vlog. To mark, record and celebrate events and moments, for you at the Chateau. I love how you and your Aunt speak of family and past events; your Grandmother being with you and her love for the sunsets and chickens. Cherishing the experiences and people.

If you want the turtle centerpiece a little higher, turn a bowl that coordinates with the platter upside down, and put the platter on top. It should raise it just enough.

Flowers add so much beauty and class. Love them. Can't wait to see the whole table put together.

I’ve had family during Christmas and had Lalande withdrawal. The flowers are beautifully arranged. Your aunt is so talented and just precious. She needs lots of hugs. You can see her sweetness in Amaury. So excited about Nati & Amaury. Was hoping that they would be a couple. Every video done not only for Advent but also the entire year have been so very well done and of course I could hardly wait for a new one! The progress is amazing. Having the money for finishing so many things is just the best Christmas present any of us Lalanders could hope for. Again friends coming tomorrow thru New Year’s Day. A florist could sell you special plastic cups on a stem which fit inside the candlesticks so the decoration can still be safely watered when the oasis begins to dry out. Also the green oasis needs to be in water for much longer.
