I have a couple of sergers (OVER LOCKS) that mother-in-law left me when she passed away over 15 years ago. Those things are AWSOME!!!!!!
Use a coordinating solid for the bands on directional fabric to save time and frustration.

what a great suggestion, I think I will do that
Yes to head wraps and bows lesson 🤗
On directional fabric when sewing in the round always make sure the inside print is upside down.

And when you sew the cuffs, make sure the print direction is going towards the cut portion of the fabric (when looking at the cuff when pinned to the main portion, it will look right side up)
Yes to head wraps.
Neita as fas as directional....I pin the waistband and pants portion a couple of pins. Then turn that section right side out to see if direction is correct. If wrong I know to flip band over and sew. Works for me. I have to remember direction of print when cutting pattern 🤪 Still trying to find sprinkles fabric. Hope yours comes in soon. 😀
Your bummies came out cute even though the 1st waistband was upside down.. learning curve of a 1st time project!! I love it!!
Good video thanks

Love all your videos !!!! I like you are always honest, and show us when you make mistakes, that way we don't expect to be right all the time !!! All your tutorials, work with me, etc are always welcome. Yesssss, keep posting videos 🙂. I am so glad you are trying to take some time off too 🙂🙂
Just put a solid color that matches for the waistband and leg bands.. They will look cute that way..
What I do for directional is to use the clips to clip it in, then flip it right side out to make sure it's correct. If it's a fabric that I use alot, then I don't need to check as often because I know which way they should be. But the clips help it stay in place before having to stitch and seam rip, but I've been right there with you with the seam ripper. 🤣
Thanks, I just put those fabric weights in my cart.
Wheeks! Just shared your posting!!!! Hope you get sales on these Neita!
Great addition for your business love, whoop whoop 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
So cute!
Super cute! Great job 👏🏽
Love❤️ these, they are so cute. You did such a great job
Quick tip for removing serger seams, only upick the 2 top needle threads and the looper threads will just fall off. Also razor blade is quicker than seam ripper.
hi Neita, I tried the pattern this morning... did you notice a extra inchs of fabric when attaching the waistband? I guess I didn't stretch enough as a was serging. What I know about directional fabric is the waistband when folded and facing you the pattern will be upside down with raw edges up and the cuffs when facing you and folded would have raw edge up and pattern upside down.
So cute, Neita!
They r so cute love ur video's🦋
I never knew what bummies were, now I know!!! I need to make some of these. Great job as always
Neita I prefer to watch some one that does make mistakes in their videos it makes it more real trust me I have went back and watched videos where the mistakes were made and was good that wasn’t just me!!!
Great video Neita!!! Thank you for keeping it real because it happens to us all. The bummies are so cute!!! Please make a video for the head wrap/bows. Love your tutorials!
So cute ! Great job Neita with the tutorial don't worry yourself. We all enjoy your tutorials😊. Your doing so great with all the videos and tiktoks👍2022 is your Year!! We're you able to see Angela at the Expo in California? All of y'all in a video would be EPIC!!! Such great inspirations all of you!
Great job, great video very cute 😊
I clipped the pieces of fabric together and flip it to the right side to ensure the pieces are facing the right direction.
The Guinea pig fabric is gorgeous 😊 Thank you for this tutorial, I might try them when I get more confident.
The secret to seam ripping is a super sharp ripper! Love your videos!
Good job🙂
Hi Neita, I've really been enjoying your videos. I love these bummies and they are so easy to make. We finally have a girl in the family and I can't wait to sew/embroider for her. I am about to launch my business and KZread channel and one of the first videos I am going to do is about industrials. I just bought my first industrial (Juki) in June and am loving it. I love how much you share and it is a lesson I am taking to heart!
Yay! A new video yes piggies are very popular. I didn’t know what bummies were
Yes to headwrap video!😊
Enjoyed the video.
Yaaaasssss! Bummies in Guinea Pigs!!!! Yes!!!!!! Wooohooo!!!! Do you have it up on your etsy?.....gonna check!!! Can't wait to share!!!

Not yet! Working on orders now so maybe I will have it listed by tonight
Can't wait to see more tutorial videos and work with me
I love watching you try you things in your business! Either way, they came great! What’s the difference between an actual sewing machine or a serger?
Really cute bummiesand if it was a cute Headwrap or headband with bow andcute shirt as an outfit
This video was very helpful because we would probably make the same mistakes. Thank you for this video.
Yes please for head wraps……love watching all you do ………I’m in the UK 🇬🇧 would you post to UK or is it to expensive xx
An idea for a summer substitute for your bell bottoms would be skorts. Skorts are always my go to every summer for my daughter. It's different than the usual tutu. Just a thought.
Great video Neita!! Don’t worry about dislikes because KZread take that option away 😁
I really wanted to see you sew the cuff and you cut that part
Cutting the fabric is my least favorite thing to do. I just want to sew the garment together. Great job Neita. They turned out great.
I would suggest the Big Noggin Baby bummie pattern! They do come out a bit shorter than the pattern you used1 (:

I just purchased that pattern. I'm excited to test it out. The pattern I used is actually shorts (I was wondering why they looked longer/bigger than usual hehehe)

@@NeitaFajita Where can I buy the Guinea pig bullet fabric, do you sell it?
Hey, those look so cute! Do you print a copy for each size or how do you do it? I would love to see how you make the head wraps and bow if possible!!
Have you done a Pic taking tip video yet? I would love to see that!
I love the new feature of YT no one can see the dislikes so no satisfaction for them since no one else can see them love the tutorial. Good job, I made one before one way pattern, thank you for next time. Planning on making more now that a grandbaby (girl) will be here this summer.
Yor video was good. You have grown soo much in you sewing. I remember when you unboxed your serger...cutting out my patterns I enjoy. Yout choice of fabric is great. I will have to get those two prints...stay well and safe..from Tennessee

Thank you for letting me know! I thought they looked super big when making them. Good to know!
Would love to see the headband tutorial. Thank you for sharing.
Yes I want a tutorial on head bows and wraps
I feel you, I can’t stand ripping out overlock stitches.
I know your pain on seam ripping. I just had to seam rip 5 yards of ribbon off of tulle fabric. It definitely sucks and takes too much time. Your tutorial didn't suc and I loved it. . Everyone has different sewing type and techinque. What works for one doesn't always work for another. We all learn by trial and error. Keep up the good work.
Hey purchased this as well!!! So when I measured the test square I was about 1/4 inch over. Did you have this issue? Also quick tip: when you open it in adobe, open the layers tab to the left of your document and then deselect the layers you are not using. That way when printing you just get the size you need.
@gailandrews3625
2 жыл бұрын
Sheila, did you set the printer to 100%? That square is important 😀
@NaturallySheray

@@gailandrews3625 I tried actual size and 100%. Same outcome.
Great video!! After you sew the waist band and the cuffs do you leave the thread longer and weave it through the completed stitches? Your doing a great job! Love watching all of your videos....

@@NeitaFajita ok thanks. I purchased a serger almost a year ago and I finally decided it was time to learn how to use it. I have 2 multi needle embroidery machines and 1 single needle, 2 industrial sewing machines and 1 regular sewing machine, but to make the cute little shorts and leggings the serger seems to be so much faster and the seams so much stronger!
Do you sell the Guinea pig fabric or could you share where you purchased this fabric please!
I have the same problem with directional fabric.
The donut sprinkles fabric I want to buy it but it’s has different types which one do you get please help
Don’t beat yourself up too much. When I go some time without making bummies, joggers, etc and then I make them again I always make that mistake about the cuffs and waistband. I try to make sure the print is going the right way with the raw edge/seam on top but also it depends if you have the pants inside out or right side out. But even knowing that I still make the same silly mistake. 🤦🏽♀️😅😂
HAHA soo I tried this pattern yesterday I made a pair for my six year old daughter...and the booty part looked so droopy like she took a poo hahaha I might look for a different pattern.
@NeitaFajita
2 жыл бұрын
Oh my 🤣🤣 thanks for the feedback on the pattern! I need to get myself a manican so I can see how patterns I try look.
Where do you recommend getting fabric from?
do you have to buy separate thread cones for your serger? or can you use embroidery thread?
@NeitaFajita
2 жыл бұрын
You would need different thread than embroidery thread (they require different weight threads)
what's the max size for the bummies
id just sell them as a oooopps.. for a discounted price =)
Do you offer the pattern for the bummies?
What about bell bummies🤔
I really liked this style is more gender neutral
Mak a size that fits your son. No one will know it’s a boy wearing them , don’t show his face
Cutting fabric DOES take so long!
