Making Box Joints with Templates

Learn how Chris used a set of templates and an adjustable miter fence on his table saw to make the custom box joints for a Greene and Green inspired arts and crafts dresser. These techniques can be applied to other projects that require custom box joint layouts.

    What a great tip for making different size box joints. You mentioned that the sizes of the joints were different. How were the sizes determined?

    +WoodRodent I think the height of the drawer was divided in 5 equal parts.

    I build this type of dresser with a dremel tool, a 6' length of rope, and a rock.

    Very nice but I'm wondering if you are using a special dado blade set to avoid the usual deeper cuts left by the outside scoring blades?

    This is So FRUSTRATING!!! Dado blades are illegal in the UK.

    Use your router! You will have to makethe jig some what different, but it should be easy enough.
