You may (or may not) know that I'm the owner of RainyDaysLibrary (yes, the social media accounts, but first and foremost the business!), so I thought I would post a business-related video for once!

**What are blind dates with a book?**
You choose the genre and I choose the book for you! I also ask for a Goodreads account or a list of books you've read as well as triggers, favorite tropes, etc. when you checkout so I can choose the best book for you! You can go on a blind date with a book by ordering on my website (linked a little lower in the description)

Most of the supplies I got back then were from Amazon or my local Staples! You can quickly find them by looking up “post stamp stickers,” “twine,” etc. I got the books from second hand bookstores, and cards and such I designed and printed on Canva. I hope this helps a bit!

When you were selling these how did you pick which book to send? And also where did you get the stamp for your rainy day library?

I would usually choose based on the customer’s previously read books, trying to find something that matches their tastes! As for the stamp, I got it done locally, but I know there are a bunch of Etsy shops that make custom stamps (Pickled Stamps being one of them!)

I don’t know why this makes me so happy but IT DOES I wonder why so many of the books had a black ink mark on the bottom, does it serve a purpose for whoever previously owned them?

My books come from large outlet warehouses, so these were books that didn’t make it to the bookstore! I think that’s how they marked them☺️
So when you make these, you buy previously used books? I’m thinking about doing this for my booth.

Yes, I would buy second-hand books! It’s great for the environment and allowed me to have better prices for customers:)
I was wondering were you get all the books from that you use to make these blind date with a book. Do you buy them second hand or do you get them from a book store?

I used to order them from a warehouse selling secondhand books!

I get the books in bulk from a warehouse since I’m a bookstore/business. Then I “make them” into blind dates☺️
What's the difference between bronze,silver and gold books?
