I just spread my mixture on the bark of the tree itself and pack in all the little crevices, I also spread some at ground level for the robins. My white breasted nuthatches really enjoy it just as much as all the different varieties of woodpeckers that we have. I’m kinda of lucky because we have several acres of protected wetlands at the back half of our property. We just recently started feeding the deer since we had been seeing them jump our fence to the goat yard to enjoy some of their food and even water. Waking up before the sunrises is the favorite part of my day. I rush to the back porch with coffee and cigarettes in tow so I can watch and listen to the birds when they start their day, watch the sunrise and the deer. Being out there before everyone wakes up to start the and hearing all the birds as they begin to let out their fists songs of they day is something I will always cherish ❤️

So, this is basically suet with more of the dry ingredients added. The stuff you started with, before adding the suet, are the ingredients I use to make suet. I don't add honey, but all the other stuff. Guess I'll have to try this, and just make my suet a little drier than usual.
