I had a seen a lot of youtube videos on how to make paper briquettes and wanted to add to wide varieties of videos. I this video I have made my own paper briquettes and even cooked with it. It's very easy to make and maybe you too can give it a try. I am not claiming this to be an alternative source of fuel but its quite an interesting project to try!!!

    1 more trick : since you use only paper get PVC pipe, drill few holes, chop a log to fit that pipe and sit on it few seconds. If you mix paper with sawdust, grass, coffe...whatever it burns and is free then you need more pressure. Less paper = more pressure. Good luck and have fun testing :)

    True. But My idea was to conserve energy as much as possible. To char it , again we may need to use fuel.( or may be we can put it in the TLUD stove....hmmmm got me thinking again!...thanks for the comment!

    I also noticed that the paper briquette does not uphold constant heating. The flame dies off and becomes too smoky

    I really like this idea, thank you for sharing it with us. I think I will try to make some as well, but instead of briquettes, I think I will use a PVC pipe that is about 3.8 cm wide and about 31 cm long so I can make small paper 'logs' to use as firewood. Dhanyavaad.

    Could work as both but the heat of the flame is a bit feeble. Not sure how to explain that. I mean, you don't get the same amount of heat as wood. ( Probable needs to be compressed even more) . Otherwise ,you can use it for both!

    Well I found it useful but useless bcz you made them to big for one and two you needed a pump to cook. I wanted a new way to make briquettes thank you for that but I think I’m going to try this but I’m a smaller size

  • @VIDEOEPPO

    @VIDEOEPPO

    10 ай бұрын

    Making the right size briquette with the right material is something we should experiment. For example, if we make it out of sawdust, how dense it should be, what would be the binder, and what size will burn with efficiently? Will it produce too much heat and burn faster, or make too much smoke and burn slower? How big for a chuck can you feed in the stove without suffocating it and fan frequently ...These are some of the things to keep in mind. I could not diversify my experiment at that time due to a lack of tools. But if you are going to try these inputs should help you do better than I did.

  • @VIDEOEPPO

    True, but making briquettes can save a few bucks. I am using paper here. A priest friend of mine said that they used to make briquettes using saw dust and wax. Cause they lived their lives in 14 century way for an year. In rural India, people collect dry leaves and turn then into charcoal powder. This powder is then converted to charcoal briquettes. This way, they can save their forest.
