I looked at the Hobby Metal site but didn't see any mention of my question: How long can the pieces be left assembled before they permanently self-weld to each other - or does this not happen? I recall that engineering inspection Gauge Blocks are similarly polished to such a high flatness that they must never be left stacked together, as they will eventually self-weld and can never be separated after that time.

Про уникальные печати по интерестнее было, они и сложнее в производстве. пазлы какие то простенькие, не понятно зачем нужны, красивая безделушка.
So very cool !
These are not puzzles. They are works of art. God only knows what they cost.
Японцы любят удивлять своим мастерством, и это им удаётся, уважение👍😁
I’m reminded by this video of a television commercial for Toyota cars broadcast in the USA in the 1970s or 1980s in which a marble was rolled down the gap between the hood and fender of a car to show the close tolerances resulting from attention to detail and precision in its manufacture.
Combination of high-tech & manual job = made in Japan.
Very nice!
What do they spend their time on? It's more about showing accuracy than making toys

I happen to be in this industry and use FANUC machines. It all feels so familiar.
同社の印鑑ほど精度が詰められていなく、隙間が少し広いのは、ホコリが入るとかじって組み立てできなくなるからです。
Isso não é um quebra cabeça, apenas peças repetitivas, que se encaixam com relativa precisão!
At first I thought these were going to be extremely difficult to solve puzzles like the Hanayama metal puzzles which are graded from Level 1 (easiest) to 6 (most difficult). The meticulous attention to detail that goes into the manufacturing of these objects is nevertheless very impressive but - and maybe someone can correct me - these just don’t seem to require a lot of brainpower or to be “ultra-difficult” to solve as the upper-level Hanayama puzzles definitely do and are.
Meticulously carried out which is what you expect from the Japanese I would love to purchase one to see the detail.
you could come up with making sun flowers to cherry blossom 🌸’s koi fish 🐠

Nifty concept. Probably a good way to keep their machines busy between other jobs. The price seems quite reasonable considering the labor and capital required.

Wire electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a machining method in which an electrical current is passed through a wire, such as brass, to cut through a workpiece by melting it, similar to how a jigsaw operates.

While a jigsaw uses electricity, that's about where the similarities end. EDM is way more precise

Electronic Dance Music (EDM) is a genre of music used to cut complex shapes in space and time. such as 4/4, 140 bpm, shuffle and hardstyle. Similar to how Dj mixing operates.
@davidg3944

@@pomprocks It does. Wire EDM is a spark erosion process, with the current potential between the metal plate and the wire causing thousands of small sparks to melt/erode a path through the material as the machine moves.
