Making a tractor carryall

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I show my tractor carryall I built. This was the idea of KZreadr Diy My Way.
He made two videos on how to build the carryall. He does a great job showing how he built the carryall. His detailed description made it easy to construct the carryall.

Nicely done! I've been watching a lot of these carry-all builds to help me plan mine out. I was wondering what the project would look like with the wood stained... and now I know! lol My build is going to closely resemble DIY My Way's build as well. It is so well designed there really isn't any reason to reinvent the wheel... Just some minor tweaks but for the most part, will look like his and yours. Another KZreadr had issues with using a quick connect with the CountyLine carryall frame... so like you I think I'm going with the King Kutter specifically because of the pin placement. Thanks for sharing! 🤠

I recently purchased a used KingKutter carryall of that same design. It is extremely well built. I wondered how old it might be. They have changed the design slightly on the current version.

I think the king kutter works best if you are using a quick hitch

Those are nice and dandy. But I surely will never understand why people are building these, with heavy and expensive lumber! Exterior plywood would make a better service, a easier construction and surprise, surprise, a more solid final product! Let alone the ones made of steel! Inclusive with an hardened edge, allow them to replace the bucket from a front end loader on most tasks! Like loading or moving dirt, excavating or making trail maintenance, carry all sorts of stuff, etc. In Europe most of these are made of steel, just as described. for a relatively low cost (from 250€ and up) you can move earth, rectify the trails on your property and a huge array of tasks. That's the reason why, most small farmers who don't have a FEL, almost sure, have one of these! Most tractors don't have a front end loader, but most tractors do have a 3 point hitch... ;-)

I wanted this to be heavy so it can act as a counter weight. I haul 55 gallon drums of honey that weigh 700 lbs (317.5 kg) with my front end loader, using a barrel lifter. The barrel lifter slips on front forks. This projects the drum about four feet away from the face of the front end loader. I need a 400 lb (181.4 kg) counterweight to lift this load. Anyone with a front end loader needs a counter weight to be able to use the loader to its full potential. Making it heavy really works well for this reason.
