@Razzo Studio I already the cheaper alternative stuff (resincrete/eco resin) today, just to try before splurging on the real stuff. Gotta make allllll the plant pots 😆
Really loving this! A question, how is the durability of a piece like this and does it mark easily? I want make a kitchen counter for my new home like this. Or are there sealers that you recommend?
@razzostudio
3 ай бұрын
We wouldn’t recommend this material for kitchen counters, it hasn’t been tested for food safety and it’s extremely pourous.
Looks very good! How strong is this kind of jesmonite? Could you make floor tiles from it for example?

You can look into the Jesmonite website for the technical sheets on their materials. It will have all the information you’re looking for. In this case we used AC100 for the table.
@GalCon99

@@razzostudio Thanks for the response. AC100 would seem a bit risky, but AC730 seems like it could be strong enough
Thank you for this video!! How much total jesmonite base did you need to use?
@razzostudio
Жыл бұрын
Thanks! For this table we used about 14kg of total Jesmonite (liquid + powder). This can be a lot different depending on the thickness and if you would use a wooden insert 🙂

Thank you for this video! 💖 Isn't 80 grit too harsh for jesmonite? Doesn't it leave scratches?
@razzostudio
Жыл бұрын
It’s perfectly fine to use 80 but after that, you should use 120 to remove any deep scratches and continue to move forward on the grits to get a smooth finish.

@@razzostudio oh okay. Thank you for the tip! ♥️
Can I do the wood insert backwards? I already have a built table and I just want to make a terrazzo top but I don’t know if it would stick to it like that
@razzostudio
4 ай бұрын
You can definitely try and it should work 😄 Personally we think this is the best option to have the best results. The bottom part is always the smoothest with less bubbles and even layer.
nice work guys where i can get jesmonite?

nice but wouldn't it be better yo use AC 730?

Both can be used. Better is relative for the look and usage you intend so in the end, it’s up to you 😊
Where did you buy such a big bag of Jesmonite? What amount exactly do you need for a table top of this size? Thanks!

@@razzostudio ok! Can you also tell me about how many kg you used for this table? It would be helpful to know how much to order!! Thanks!
Doesn't this sealer come off after a while? How can the table be protected?
@razzostudio
2 ай бұрын
It doesn’t come off but the protection can be lower depending on how the table is used. Think of a cutting board example that also needs maintenance in terms of reapplying protection overtime. We always advise our customers how to care for their products so reapplication is advised.

Do you wait 48 hoirs before applying wax on all of your jesmonite pieces? Any particular reason you waited 48 hours in this video
@razzostudio
6 ай бұрын
We usually finish the products with wet sanding. We waited 48h to make sure that the table top was fully dry before sealing to not seal with any moisture.
