Making A Techno Track With Moog DFAM Only (featuring DFAM Thing!)

Музыка

In this video I make a complete techno track from scratch using the Moog DFAM as the only source of the sounds! I’ve paired the DFAM up with a cool little device called the DFAM Thing that expands the capabilities of the DFAM’s sequencer.
Also make sure to check out this video where I show you how to make complex sounding sequences on the DFAM • Moog DFAM Tips: How To...

Another great one, the videos where you use only one synth and really helpful from A sound design perspective but also super fun to watch, great result! That wee box is also very interesting!!

Very nice demonstration! At one time I was chasing the DAWless dragon, but since I have found that this hybrid studio type workflow is much more to my liking. It gives me the right balance between knob tweaking experimentation and being able to fiddle with the mix and arrangement to get it just right. Re-doing the live arrangement part also makes for a decent live performance.

Yup, I think the whole DAW-less thing is a little overrated. But having some manual control definitely does help to make the music sound less robotic.

The rawness of the DFAM makes it great source material for samples in my experience! 👍🏽

THANKS ! very interesting ! I would have liked to have more details on the mixing of the moog. personally I have a lot of trouble I find that it takes up a lot of space in the spectrum.
