In this video you will see the process of making an obsidian knife from beginning to end including knapping, hafting and finishing as well as blank preparation. Sit back and relax while I go through the process. Enjoy

Incredible work. Impressed with accuracy of the knapping with its uniform edging.

Amazing work! And I love those "Work smarter, not harder" techniques. For those "But...but...it's not authentic!" complainers, what does that even mean "authentic"? Kenny said it's a flint-knapped obsidian knife and that's exactly what it is. How is that not authentic? If they mean that it wasn't made by a cave man or a Native American sitting in a cave 1,000 years ago, he never said it was.

Great video! Also, that "edger" tool is sweet, I might make one.

Thank you. There's a 3rd knife in that movie, but I am unaware of the maker. Em Coons worked me and made the big blade

I'd never had thought to grind it into a pre form. Learn something new every day, I guess.

Joe i was gonna try to slow down mine, but in the process I found out faster is better. Took out a whole lot of vibration. Now I run 1 to 1 pullies which gives me 1750 rpm

I don’t understand the point of using artificial sinew, it’s just not the thing to use when natural sinew is so easy to obtain and it looks way way better.

Is that because you don't know what art is? Or are you just making up stuff to fit your ideas?

Mr Hull is no doubt very skillful but this isnt proper flint napping. Even the handle was made with modern materials and tools. In my opinion a very disappointing video.
