The first on youtube to show that 1 transformer from a microwave oven is not enough. This is also the first spot welder I would buy. Good job.

Careful about welding those zinc-plated washers - the smoke coming off (and the white powdery coating left behind) is zinc oxide vapor, which is quite nasty to breathe.

Столько меди випал в эту штуки, проще провода было подвести к сварным концам

@@user-zt3td5ux1s ну тогда появилась бы другая сложность, как соединить контакты, а контакты это потери. В его случае аппарат сделан для интенсивной работы, имея большее сечение чем провода и к тому же достаточную жёсткость получаем идеальное решение.

@@Anticvar. провода будут греться в любом случае если имеют сечение меньше чем пятно контакта сварки, но они толще...поэтому можно и обойтись например трубами внутри которых разместить провода и соединить с с медными концевиками...способов много...они и так имеют соединение...тоже соединение и получиться

Why didn't you put a fan for cooling?
Do not use zero-cross or random-on type SSR. It may cause a magnetic saturation of transformer. When magnetic saturation occurs, a very large current flows through the SSR, causing the SSR to fail. To prevent this, peak turn-on SSRs should be used. This spot welder has no electrical reliability and still needs to be improved.
Does anyone know how to connect that timer and sold state relay?

You should warn about opening a microwave oven. The capacitor is very dangerous if is changed

It's dangerous if it's charged but the most dangerous part is the magnetron

@@E-hab yes, but it could be charged. The magnetron is only dangerous if you break the berilium ring.
