I made ONE liner lock from scratch 35 years ago. That was plenty for me ! Half stops are a safety for dummies who need a reminder to get their fingers out of the way when they decide it's time to close the blade. Fiddle away Loz. I enjoy watching you as much as not frigging around with these myself! 👍 😃

Hi James, yep you can figure out why they have been sitting on the shelf since May 😃 just got to persevere now and get them finished

Covered everything wonderfully Brilliant Half stops are perceived as safer for folk who don’t understand knives as they can get their fingers out of the way when closing the knife.

@Loz Harrop , you need finer edges on tools to work pine as than you do on Oak Brass being softer than steel behaves in a similar way so has a tendancy to tear apart with a "blunt" cutting edge because there is less tension supporting the cut in brass than the same cut in steel. One drill will make a clean cut in bronze and steel but tear up or even warp copper and brass .....many carpenters use longer beveled tools on soft wood than on hardwoods for this reason Thanks for this, folders are something I have trouble getting my head around so will be referring back to your video probably several times...cheers
