Hello Mojo ! I'm thinking about doing de same on my Berg Larsen metal vintage 120/2/SMS to get a bit more projection. Does it make it easier to play ? Because the Berg need so much air to play in comparison with my Brancher B29 but i do like more its sound than the Brancher.

Thanks for this video! I just had the idea of trying to make a baffle for my Jody Jazz HR tenor mouthpiece to give it a little more brightness, and this video helps a lot. Would you use the same epoxy compound for a hard rubber mouthpiece? Is there a different baffle shape for tenors? Thanks!

I use that epoxy for removable baffles in all mouthpiece materials. For non-removable baffles I prefer using Apoxie Fix-It in hard rubber and plastic mouthpieces. This is a good shape to try in tenor mouthpieces too. But I would experiment with shapes using a temporary putty first.

what liquid is that you put into the mouthpiece before you put the epoxy putty?

Do you still makes these for others? I have a Link STM but preferred the Brilhart Level-Air that I had trialed. I preferred the versatility that the 2 additional baffles provided, as one of them REALLY warmed the tone. The only reason I returned it is that it had SO much projection that both directors told me I would only need that much if I were performing with a rock band lol I am still searching for a 5 Level Air (I trialed a 7), but custom baffles for the Otto Link would be an option for me. Thanks so much.

danielofcastle It all is in the video. Quik Aluminum. I also use other similar 2-part quick set epoxy putties.

How much would the same thing cost for an alto sax link roughly? And how would one go about getting it done?

Sure. But it will not harden and be removable/reusable with the exact same shape.

Most epoxies become inert once thoroughly mixed and cured.
