I was a picture framer through tech school. I miss being creative. I have thought about it as a side gig for a while. I use a 3m ATG for the back of the frame. Then lay out the paper on the surface and set the frame on the paper. Also to trim I just use my finger of the hand I hold the exacto in to space in the cut to trim the paper. You sled has been on my list of 2 do for a while now. When framing I never wanted to take away from the print, just enhance it. Love what you did the inlay.

Absolutely stunning image and frame, but I just think that with the vivid blue of the lake, the frame colour would have been best in black (bog oak, or charred oak, perhaps?). As a side note, I watched Peter’s video from 2018 about this very image and it was great. The luck he had to capture it was incredible.

I don't know if it was the lighting in your shop or some clever post-prod effects, but it really looks like you went up a notch on the artistry for this video. The vivid colors were particularly noticeable during the assembly montage; they really popped and were just visually very pleasing; it got me saying "that must be intentional".

  • @NoobieTaco

Packaging - I temped in the procurement office of a government agency once, and they had out a request for proposals from graphic designers. Several designers/agencies got very creative with packing their proposals, from custom made solid copper boxes and folios, to things that defied description. It seemed like a waste of effort because the packing really wouldn't make a difference on who we chose.

Caught the video before you pulled it down an hour or two ago…I got an error that said “stopped playback because video was removed by channel” or something like that. I’ve never seen that before. Weird.

@@MakeSomething I figured it was something like that. I just hadn’t ever had a video stop in the middle of playback like that. You left me in suspense!

i dont know why but it bothers that the dust collection for the planer is in back and the wood just barely goes by it... it seems like it would get in the way... it looks off.. they should just put it on the ide or on top.. no in back like that...

You are right. Before I added the right angle adapter it was a huge pain in the but. Not the best design.
