Hello a very nice video, I've learnt lot.. May I ask a question about the dimensions of the dowel ? Does it fit well for the Remington 1858 ?

I used this to make mine for a 44cal 1858 and they work just fine. I oversized mine to error on the side of caution, so mine has MUCH more than 2mm overlap... more like 1/3 of an inch

it is better to give the overlop at the bottom of the plan so that it looks more like a trapeze...because there it is a false trapeze... but it is very good anyway...

I have been trying to make a cone for my 44 caliber, but I'm still not getting it. I'm doing something wrong in my measurements...I think.

www.blocklayer.com/cone-patterns.aspx plug in the measurements and it creates a pdf you can then print and cut out.
