Making a Maxi Evening Dress Inspired By 3 Nuts for Cinderella + Sewing Pattern 🌸

I'm so so so happy to show you how to easily sew this dress - it's inspired by my favorite childhood movie - 3 Nuts for Cinderella!
→ The epitome of enchanting fairy-tale beauty, this Zoria dress is the belle of the ball with its classic design details embellished with romantic touches. The fitted A-line silhouette drapes from the empire waistline decorated with a dreamy lace trim that highlights the straight squared neckline, flowing along with the opulent chiffon sleeves is enough to make you fall in love.

Here are the materials you’ll need:
- 1.2-1.5 m(11/3- 13/4 yds) light-mid weight woven fabric
- 1.2-1.5 m(11/3- 13/4 yds) lining
- 1.2-1.5 m(11/3- 13/4 yds) interfacing
- Shoulder pads (0.5 cm - 1 cm thick) *optional
- Matching thread
- Glasshead pins
- Scissors
- Measurement tape
- Zoria pattern
Choose a woven dress-weight fabric that will hold its shape, won’t stretch and isn’t see through. This would be something like Silk, Faux silk, Satin, Crepe, Velvet, Poplin, Linen, Cotton, Brocade.

I’m a beginner, and while I think this dress is definitely out of my ability range at the moment, I’d love to try and make the skirt by itself - any tips on how to finish the waistline of the skirt? Do you have another pattern that I could follow for the waistline? I’m too scared to go off-book yet
