Honesty wearing a mask would probably make it worse. It would be best if she were in a room with open doors and window. The fumes can easily get caught in the mask itself (unless you wear a whole gas mask or something)

@@Hairlessraisin It’s not the fumes that are worrisome, it’s the powder. An n95 particle respirator will filter out the particulate. I wore one when I did housework with lots of popcorn ceiling powder. They were only a few dollars at a hardware store before the pandemic, but they might cost a bit more now.
