I’ll be honest, it can lead to some design block for me.... I make a plan then think, uh oh, how/when do I do this part? If leather were cheap, I’d just cut first and fix later... 😂

I have 200+ hides of leather. Varying worth. The “first” of every design I grab a cheap hide and make a quickie. To ease the stress. And make it more about fun then perfection. It works every time. Joy is as relevant as productivity. 👍

You taught me a bunch of tricks here. The best one is not tracing the whole square pattern! Just mark the dots, and connect the dots!! Also using punches. thanks.

I realize I'm late to this party, but... I'm making my own version of what you call "The Emily," and I'm hoping you'll give me some general guidelines on how to calculate the length of the strips for the wristlet, for a guven width/thickness. Thanks for work; I think I've watched all your videos!

Perfect!! Thanks for watching and for the support! I’ve had all of my punches for years. Used daily. I’ve personally never sharpened them. But... it’s possible. It’ll just take some patience and intricate work.

Hey there! Amazing work. Wondering how you'd recommend aligning the edges after you cut some pieces and have glued and stitched them together if you don't have that little fraise rolling machine??

I have no clue what a fraise rolling machine is. Cut everything PERFECTLY first. Then glue. Then sand. Then stitch. Then bevel. Then sand again. Done

Nice video, excellent work. Love the dry humor approach of slow motion 'flicking' waste pieces, but the best touch of all is the bikini top and the posable, ugh, umm, quite robust model on the desk.

So, I have given it much thought as I re-stocked my leather tooling equipment after more than 30 years. I have decided my work bench needs an 'Olivia'. Where might one acquire such a robust poseable mode? Maybe that will help the quality of my work that has gone stale after so many years of inactivity.

I was just thinking about some kind of leather pouch or wrap as travel gear for a few briars and....uh......well.....smokables. Hey Im Canadian....🍁

Did you burnish the edge of that with coffee?

I have a Dremel Stylo. Would you say it is strong enough to sand the edges like you did with your rotary tool? Or am I better off trading it in for a stronger model? Thanks!

Why do you rough your leather on your seams if you’re going to sew later? The adhesive doesn’t need to bond that well if it’s saddle stitched does it?

Oh geez. Yes !!!!!!!!!! It needs to seal to the edges. Precision. Stitching is 5mm back. That’s 4 mm of leather holding with ONLY adhesive. Has to be 100% “stuck”.
