I had been wondering how you came up with the name Springbok. I finally decided it was because your husband Ben was a secret South African mercenary and loved to shot the Springbok for sport. Awesome Bag! What is the leather of the dark brown and blue bags at the end. The blue is sharp!

Something a bit heavier that can hold it's shape is definitely recommended. Upholstery would work so long as you interface/line it. Thanks so much for watching!

Howdy Springbok, i have been watching your videos off and on for a while now. ? i have been playing with leathercrafting for a while. i have brought leather stamps in the pass, a lot of money. i have been watching laser engraver for a while, but never wanted to spend the money on one. plus they need more room than i have. how about the ?(LaserPecker LP2 - Portable and Handheld Laser Engraver )or the( xtool f1 standalone )? i have just made wallets and belts, phone holsters, small stuff. i grew up with 5 sister and know how strong they are, i believe you to be the same. i would not follow someone who isn't . rob

Somewhere between 4-6 oz. 4 oz might be a bit on the light side and have a bit less structure. 6 oz you'd definitely need to be skiving.

Where do I make the holes for the D-rings conectors in the bottom piece? Thanks for the pattern

I'm using 4-5 oz leather, it's an SB foot leather called Bean Teak. It's a medium-stiff temper leather with some roundness to it.
