Sunday Breakfast Good morning everyone
A Peter Chan video? What a glorious winter morning!
I'm really happy to see the longer videos returning :)
my favorite sort of tutorial...(for me) groups have so much presence.
Oh my God, the “ Raft” one….I am in love of course with all your forest examples…thank you, thank you, thank you, mr.Chan!
Thank you for your honesty re trying to create something good
I'm pleased you showed us warts and all I too have the same problem sometimes, pleased I'm not alone 😁
Thank you Peter for your gift! You are amazing once again.
Going to my first Bonsai show of the year today. Mr Harry Harrington is doing a demo too.
Sunday Morning Joy.
In this moment of war and sadness, your videos are like a bless, showing us that beauty is still out there. Thank you.

There are evil people in the world - but our role is to stand up to evil and spread goodness. I also believe in Karma - those who do evil will come to a sticky end. Pray for Peace.

I want so badly to try to create a grouping, but buying a bunch of young trees can get expensive. Nice work Peter. Always a pleasure to watch and learn.

Nurseries often sell bare root trees for hedging in multiples of 5. I bought 10 hornbeams in Jan n they’re beginning to think it’s Spring! So hurry up! God bless you 🙏✝️

you could try a forest nursery. Not sure where you live, but where I am two years ago I bought 25 european larches for about 25 euros. Each larch was only 2--3 years old and around 60-80 cm tall though, but they are doing great now in two little forests I planted with them. The more I would have bought the cheaper they would have been. Forest nurseries usually ship bare rooted trees only between october and april (at least the nursery I use does). And forest nurseries mostly keep trees native to your region.
Taken me 24 hrs to finish watching the video, but well worth it , I have a clump style on the go and I made it, unmade it a few times until I thought it looked ok . well worth having ago. Thanks Peter.
Thank you, Peter and team! Another video full of information to study!
Thanks Peter
One of my favorite videos. The end of the video was awesome. I did laugh at you though
You may not see this as its an old vid but you have inspired me to get started with bonsai. The last part of this video reminded me of piecing together a Chinese puzzle ring. Keep exploring orientation and alignment and eventually the fit will find itself. I'm going for a walk in the woods tomorrow to find some willing companions on this new journey. Thankyou x
Another great tutorial. Thanks, keep growing
The ones with long-ish heavy-ish roots look like good material for 'root over rock' , mountain side, wind blown, other difficult environment projects.

All of the Crab Apple seeds from the kit I bought from Herons have germinated in the last week or so, very pleased with that, a few Deshojo Maples seeds are breaking the soil so I have hopes of all the other seeds I bought from Herons will also germinate. Many thanks to all at Herons Bonsai.

another long videos from Peter! love it!
I love your videos about these forest and group type plantings. I already have some plans to make my own soon from maple seedlings. Thanks for the useful tips!

Sadly I have no more trees to try my self🌴 looks like it's time for some Yamadori for me 😀. thx for sharing Peter.. Cheers 🍻
I was getting so frustrated for you and I think I would have given up. Great job! I love your videos. Persistence pays off.
Great!! Jep, never give up! Thankyou 🌲🌳🌳🌲
Just in time as I have been planning a forest of group planting, this has given me many ideas. Love the examples you showed. Will have to wait till next spring to put my ideas together as we coming into winter soon. Thank you for sharing
Thank you master!
I love bonzai so I love you Mr chan..😁 take care always😘
I thought maybe a senior moment…but then I learned that you seen that the 4 looked good together and though you say not to be superstitious with the numbers. I believe that’s what you was haha as you tried for 5. Finally found it and it proper. Good job 👍
Excellent Tutorial!!!
I have planning on doing this. Thank you Peter for the inspiration and your knowledge!
Thank you ‘’Master Chan’’ for sharing your 4 decades of Bonsai knowledge with the world! Much respect and admiration from California…

Very nice , thanks Peter.
Marcescence also prevents the strong spring rain to take away those leaves so they can become soil for the main tree
Great video as usual. What's Padmapriya up to nowadays? I always enjoyed seeing him work. It would be nice to see him in a video again!
💕👌👍
Peter, thank you so much for this video. I moved from the USA to Spain and I miss the Forrest so much. I want to try to make one of these for my house. I have a question. Can you please tell me or point me to a video/resource about how to grow the moss on the top of the soil at the base of trees? I have three bonsai and they are all bare dirt at the bases.
Can you make footings from tree cuttings? I have many wonderful olive trees in my area and would love to do this with cuttings from one of them.
Wow very beautiful tree naverdir ho very beat middle kupchak began tree eating foods national security agency different enough..thank you for good advice kupchak 🙏
Do you have any windswept ones? I for some reason like the non traditional styles..i see so few windswept

One of my constant disappointments in my trees is I tend to keep making informal uprights, but absolutely am amazed and entranced with far less traditional styles like windswept and off balance styles. Like the gorgeous artwork I've seen from Japan and China. I just don't have the artistic imagination to envision such styles when I'm working with my trees. I would love to see more off balance or windswept style.

Hello Peter! How would go about making a cherry blossom bonsai tree? The cherry blossoms are in full bloom here and we'd like to make one. Do your tips and tricks also apply on cherry blossoms or are they any different?

Please please please get a wireless microphone so the sound can be consistent. Don't rely on the recording devices microphone. they have wireless microphones that will record with the device. the sound is so frustrating to listen to the very good content.
