Making a Florentine Cutaway Mold for Guitar
In this episode of DIY Guitar Making, I build a mold for a florentine cutaway parlor guitar model. I cover the process of stacking and duplicating the pieces of the mold on the router table, fine-tuning the cutaway with a chisel, and making the best out of your latch mechanism so your mold lasts a lifetime.

I love your channel. You have such good ideas and execution, and explain things very well.
thank you Eric
Good system Eric. I hate making molds. Very boring. I think the dowels are a great work around to fix the problem with the screws pulling out. But one could , since, you are already using machine screws, drill through the mold and nut them on the inside of the mold. Of course they would need to be counter sunk into the mold so they wouldn't interfere with the guitar rims. Very unlikely the screws could pull through the mold.
