Did you have to do anything special to clean your tools after using them to spackle? Or did you need to get a new bench scraper, tips, etc for them to be food safe again?

Can confirm. Am straight. Use a LOT of spackle on a daily basis. Considering spackling my husband although I’m sure the end product would not compare to your work! PS hubby thinks you’re hilarious and I want you to be my best friend ❤

Cakeifying your loved ones with spackle *(could)* be edible [for their SO] depending on where you spackle. Great for christmas, birthday, etc gifts! Fun video! The chaos is why I click- absolutely love it.

I used this method a few years ago to make a Marie Antoinette "cake head" display for baking items available to check out at our library. I'm not great at cake decorating but I'm pretty good with spackle.

to those who are planning on attempting this: please use disposable tools or tools you plan on throwing away anyways. you should not use the tools you use for this (like bowls and such) for food afterwards, even after cleaning them. jonny here uses some plastic mixing bowls, plastic spoons, etc. that being said, i am totally going to be making this, it looks so cool. thank you for the inspo and instructions, jonny!

Great question! I soaked everything in boiling water and the spackle came off easily. That said: I threw away all the piping tips bc they were too hard to clean.
