Beautiful design, can you use an industrial sewing machine?? Or is it not going to work? I'm new to leather work and auto upholstery, and are just looking for some tips

I would say yes If you have the right sewing machine and a little experience, otherwise you could waste some leather.

Hello again! What about handlong te exposed edges? In the video you are using a kind of edge paint but only on the strap edges. What about the others, eg the edges of the side pockets? Do you leave those edges untreated?

This bag is an all time classic. I already purchased your pdf. One question, I intend to use 1,5mm veg tanned for the body . Do you think this thickness is too thin? For the strap I will use two pieces 3mm sum thickness.

Thank you for your order. If the leather is strong enough to hold the weight you’re going to put in the bag it shouldn’t be a problem. I would use at least 2mm leather where the strap is going to be attached. I hope this helps.

?Why the offset zipper? By not having the zipper in the middle is it harder to access clothes?

Thank you for your comment! I find it easier to put things in and out of the bag with having the offset zipper. But personally, I wanted a different look than the traditional centre fit zipper which is why i designed it like that 😊

OLD LEATHER SMITH here, VERY NICE DESIGN and JOB, SUGGESTION, SNAPS or CHICAGO SCREWS would B better if the buckle or Clip breaks in the future the rivets R a bear 2 remove, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

@@thatonedog819 I would suggest CHICAGO SCREWS with some wood glue or Rubber cement 2 keep from vibrating loose by dog If that doesn't work B 4 you install the Chicago screws you put grade 8 flat washer under each end of said screw, ANY MORE QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE 2 ASK, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

Thanks! I actually had some Chicago screws on hand so I did replace the rivet with the Chicago screw, but I may have to do the glue thing!

Hola Ato Las dimensiones son aproximadamente: 58 cm de ancho x 26 cm de alto x 30 de profundidad = 22,8" de ancho x 10,2" de alto x 11,8" de profundidad He usado esta bolsa para mis viajes y es un buen tamaño. Saludos

May I ask why you don’t glue each seam before you stitch please?

I apply glue only when I punch holes in more than one layer of leather at once. In this case I don’t need it because both pieces have holes for stitching already. Applying glue would take extra time to finish the project. I apply glue in case of wallets to finish the edges to make it look like one piece of leather.
