thanks you so much
Please, please, please make a pattern to sell for that skirt! It looks amazing. Also when you said the word vintage and the 90’s, I had to laugh. I grew up in the 80’s and have always loved the 90’s era dresses.

ah yes! a pattern for this would be lovely!
In love with this outfit! Especially the skirt, I have a similar one in my wardrobe and love how easy it is to wear. Would definitely purchase the skirt pattern if you decided to make one (I’m a beginner and I find dresses a bit intimidating, but I would definitely try to make a skirt!) 😊

Thank you so much! I love this style of skirt too and may make a pattern one day 😊
You are one clever lady. I wish I could sew like you. I think my problem is the cutting out. Thank you for sharing your skills.

Cutting out is definitely the worst part!
Janelle, I learned a tip for sewing angled seams like on your lovely skirt: sew from wide to narrow. It helps avoid stretching of the seams. Easy peasy! I am so inspired by your work!

Oh good to know! Thanks for sharing!
Just gorgeous Janelle. I seriously don’t know how you sew so fast…you are a miracle worker and just so so talented! I really like this outfit as a whole. 💕
You are amazing! That is so much work in one day.
I think this is one of the nicest outfits I've ever seen you make because I partial to long flowing skirts. So pretty and feminine!
Lovely work,! And done in a day!!!!!!I was looking for a pattern for a long linen skirt and I love the shape of yours!!!! Cheers from a sewing lover from Spain❤
I got Style 2079 from the opshop too so this was amazing to see it in action - I've always been scared of it because I have broad shoulders and it looks like it accentuates the shoulders but since watching this I'm giving it a go for sure :) P.S. You have inspired me to get my camera out and make my own sewing channel. I just love your beautiful aesthetic and everything and it has been on my mind a while to make my own channel with my own aesthetic and you have been the inspiration to finally give it a go!
Such a lovely outfit you created! The skirt is so flattering and feminine 💕 ✨
Now, that you recreated the turtleneck, I wouldn't be surprised if the other one magically reappeared. 🤫

Absolutely love the skirt and turtleneck. Great job on sewing and fabric selection.
Wow what a lovely outfit Janelle. I really like the turtleneck top and the fact that you added pockets to the skirt, awesome job. Thank you for sharing. Remain blessed xxx
With 5 kiddos this would take me like a month, rather than a day. But- I absolutely love this one!!! So cute.

Pls make a pattern for this skirt, it's so pretty. I need it in my wardrobe. Also I adore A line skirts and there aren't many patterns for them in my neck of the woods.
I’m in Tasmania too. 😊
I would love to make a light purple turtleneck!
Great video, and beautiful garments Janelle! ❤🪡 I find that the skirt panels in commercial dress patterns are ALWAYS too voluminous for my liking, especially towards the bottom, so I have done some experiments with cutting down the sides of the pattern pieces before cutting out the fabric. I've not nailed it yet but my toiles are already looking better. Last night I also tried my hand at tracing off the pieces from a store-bought shirt dress. That seems to be the best bet so far. Going to sew it up today, and feeling extra inspired having watched this video! Absolutely love your chocolate brown skirt fabric.
Glad the rethreading worked on the serger. I don't have one, but I should think that a good cleaning out of all the fabric and thread debris that has collected inside would make it run much better?
I love the this outfit and one outfit in a day must be tiering to do also pattern scout has a drafting and sewing video for a similar skirt.
Nice outfit.
Lovely outfit. Now do a video on cleaning your overlocker! lol
Hello from a Jonelle in California!
If you made a pattern for the skirt I would be interested in purchasing it. Lovely job
May I suggest that you clean your overlocker, as might be the reason why your thread keeps braking. It works for me 🧵 Cute outfit, by the way 🌹
Hi Janelle! Could you link the previous video you mentioned of you making that turtleneck pattern? Curious to see more detail on using twin needle if there’s info in it. Thanks. Love your videos!

I've seen now all your video's, so i can see than again, so lovely. Yeah i've heard it in one of your video's that you have family from the Netherlands...
You need to vacuum out all that fluff and dust inside your overlocker, or use a fluffy paintbrush to remove it. Your machine will run a lot smoother afterwards. Love love this outfit turned out gorgeous
Still hoping you’ll make this skirt into a pattern one day. 🤞🏼
Please can you make a pattern for the skirt, it looks a bit tricky but I would love to give it a go
Using an overlocker looks so intricate! That skirt fits you like an absolute GLOVE
A wonderful outfit for you, Janelle. 😀 Just curious, do you every use covered material buttons?

I love your dresses. Do you use 1 cm for seams?
Beautiful! Would it be possible to make the turtleneck on a regular sewing machine? I don't own an overlocker.
@RoseryApparel
Жыл бұрын
Yes totally! You can use a stretch needle on your sewing machine and a stretch stitch which will make the thread stretch with the fabric. Sewing stretch fabric on an overlocker is just super quick and the raw edges won’t unravel 😊

Would anyone have a link to the prior video which Janelle references, showing the first time she made the "Rise and Fall" turtleneck shown in this video? (Update: Think I found it: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kZmbz9icftHFd7w.html&ab_channel=RoseryApparel Are there two neck versions in the turtleneck pattern - one more of a mock neck, and the version in this current video more of a folded over double layer turtleneck version?
Nice vidéo but I Wonder why it should be necessary to use a pattern for the skirt as you could make a pattern directly from the skirt which you Know suits perfectly.
I don't mean to offer unsolicited advice (and maybe you've since done this!), but it looks like maybe your overlocker needs to be cleaned out!! i've found that the dust build up inside causes it unthread!! anyway, these pieces look great and now i have no choice but to make a skirt like that!
Such a cute outfit and as always I learn so much by watching you sew xx
