I really like how you can actually see the disk drive spin :D
This is a really cool idea and I would love to see this done with other consoles as well.

Thad be fun with some others consoles Ill keep it in my head for a future video idea
Oh MAN! Those LED pucks just give this project that extra little bit of 'POP' that puts this as one of the coolest things I've ever seen. You knocked this one out of the park.

@@QuietNerdwouldn't happen to have a link to those standoff kit would you?
This was beautiful! The whole process was just a treat man. wow!
I make these often for commercial events and displays. I came to see how you lit behind the IC's (which you didn't but you just powered LED's from behind the board, which works well !). Think seriously however about putting an acrylic cover over the power supply as you have exposed mains electricity there. you wave you hand close to in when powered on in the videos, and IRL viewers' of such things love to point and poke them. My only tip for the future, is think out putting a switch for power behind the old top shell for power button so it still works. Nice job :-)

That's awesome you made something like very cool! Id love to see some of yours. This It was a very fun project to build. Yes I know about the power board is just in the open I debated covering it with acrylic like you mentioned but I just ended up leaving it just as is. I wont have it plugged in when I'm not around and If I show it off I will make sure to let them know not to touch anything. I know people love to touch things. I have experience with stuff like this from my variac I built out and other past things. So I understand the risks myself and I'm not worried about myself. But when I show it off Ill be right there as well. I appreciate the concerns though. Keep on keeping on!
I really like the pcb being lit underneath like that it's awesome!
Another fun, entertaining project! The PS1 is a fine piece of hardware. The diorama is a beautiful!

@@QuietNerd I agree, the PS1 holds a very special place in my heart. It's amazing how well it was made. I kinda wish Sony would have made them less "designy" and just more compact and sleek. But oh well, that's how they went about it nowadays.
Dude you do the coolest stuff.
I hope your doing wonderful today!

This video deserves more views! (BTW - in the future, wear shoes when working with power tools... and definitely do not look into the optical drive laser!)
Not only do you make an incredible display, you crank a sweet RE3 run.
Really cool and creative, nice job 👍🏾
Wow this is so cool! Awesome work!

Great mod but you should cover up the power supply with a clear plastic cover. If anyone touches the fuse or any part of that power board they will get a nasty shock, especially where the power cord plugs into the board. Another mod would be to reroute the power and reset buttons so they are mounted in the original shell.
That looks so dope! A genuine work of art. I just wish the screen was more centre as it's kinda playing havoc with my OCD 😂
I love this so… much it needs to be in a game art museum somewhere for PlayStation.you should consider reaching out to PlayStation WOW JUST WOW 👏👏💯
Come across your channel a few days ago, just awesome dude, your so creative and great at it!

Very cool setup, I'm envisioning a version with a naked CRT sticking out the back 😂 totally not a shock hazard!
Super cool project! I thought you were going to put the white power button under the PS1 shell power button. Awesome either way!
So perfect but please put the power button on the shell with green les orignal …
How do you not have more followers? Great video! 💪🏼

Neat. Although, I don't suppose you play any multi-disc games because gluing down the CD tray lid button will prevent you from swapping discs even if you can just yank it and swap.
I’m don’t really speak english and i’m more a barmaid than a nerd but i past a really good Time to your video 😂❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Could you do this to newer systems?
👍
This is cool and all but I was so triggered by you not wearing shoes (or even socks at the beginning) while working with sharp tools ._.
Won't the LED's heat the motherboard up a lot? I think it would hamper performance quite a bit?
