This channel is about sharing how I craft leather goods in a way that hopefully inspires others to pursue their passion. For me, the word "legacy" has grown to mean 'to pass the torch.' That can be sharing a passion, craft, or heirloom with the next generation. My hope is that by showing, for example, how I cut my leather goods or saddle stitch a wallet that you might be inspired to either take up the craft or inspired to pursue whatever your current passion happens to be. I hope you enjoy and learn something about the craft.

Could you please start saying what thickness of leather on these projects. I am brand new to leathercraft, and I have a few patterns from different places. However, almost nobody says what gauge the leather should be. I find that to be the biggest hurtle. I have some leather, but I never know if it is the right kind for all these projects. Thank you.

Good idea! For this particular project, I recommend using 3-4oz thick leather (.0468"-.0625") or 1.2-1.6mm. I hope this helps!

Thanks! I would like to try my hand at making a knife sheath-- I haven't done a wet-molded knife sheath before, so that would be fun to try. 😎👍
