Robertson County has one of the lowest literacy rates in the country. With only 31% of it's students meeting the proficient requirements for reading on the state exam. So it was really important for us to get involved and find a way to have an impact on our local kids and their efforts to read and learn right here at home. This bus will act as an extension of the library during the summer months, bringing story time and books to kids in the rural areas of the county that may have a hard time making it all the way to the library. It is also a place for the county nutrition program to distribute meals outside of regular school hours. We are proud to donate our work and material to the school district along with many other members of the community.
