I recently converted an old 2 stroke trimmer to 36V battery powered. Was heavily inspired by this video. I direct drive the shaft with A 24V HVAC blower motor. Overvolting to 36V with 2 18V batteries gets the the RPM on par with 2 stroke and roughly the same total power output.

pro tip: when you are cutting metal with hole saws (especially large ones) to avoid the hole saw from jamming up into the steel and splitting your hand into two, clamp the steel with some c clamps, (you will also save motor power doing this)

Interesting. Everything done properly. I have some doubts about the long-term capacity of power tools. The relatively large torque compensates for the relatively low power. The donor seems to have a ~ 1500W motor in the glory days. Does the current motor have 150W? How long does the battery last?

I'm not sure if that motor is really meant for constant duty... Like, running it at it's rated voltage for 10-15 minutes at a time. Then again I guess it would get a cooldown in between battery charge cycles.

@@gizmobrain I hv designed (patent pending) a single wheel Weed Cutter petrol engine assy. Safe and convenient in all respects. Any other shoulder mount brush cutter assy can also install.. Two wheel unit very inconvenient. I m also working on to replace engine to rechargeable motor assy. Looking for the exact motor. Expect to succeed. U can check my product : kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y3pms8h7f5TMgbQ.htmlsi=-iQs9n74Fz03fkIA Good luck

@@gizmobrain Makita makes both but the ones with the motor near the blade handle a bigger blade so I guess they have more torque.
👍👍🛠️👏
Witam jak długo pracuje na jednym ładowaniu??
The angle on the handle is all wrong :-D You are leaning forward when using it, and that stresses your back. It's designed to be at a 90 degree angle to the main rod.

Why does mom always show up and ruin the party ...
Try copper wire instead of plastic wire for cutter. I got better result.
Where can I buy this motor and this battery? thanks best regards
Which motor you used

He said it was a car power steering motor.
no creo que aguante para una cuchilla . y la autónomia de la batería no creo que sea tanta. tal vez sería una mejor un opción dejarla con una fuente externa . pero sin embargo es una buena opción para el jardín
The amount of names I've heard for these at this point lmfao
Interesting! Hello Friend
Nice
I would had push button switch safety you dropped cut power. But cool tool
Pozdro
where i can buy this el motor?
Not sure why unless the motor is blown cause the battery wouldn’t be as powerful or last as long
