Exactly!! An educated comment from someone in KZread is rare. But also my favorite way of eliminating boost creep is putting the waste gate directly on the housing if possible!

That 13B engine is for sure a good reason to be running around in it. if he doesn't end up selling it I don't believe it will be anytime soon. We already know he's not going to sell the BRZ ever, but being that the RX7 was such a major build for him, I don't see the RX7 being sold off anytime soon. I mean he purposely seeks out the parts for it so it's got some extra value to it that ties it closer to him.

And yeah I hear Calvin talk and about the RX7 being sold, but he also said he was going to wide body his Supra and all he's done was put that Street Hunter lip on it (outside of the wheels and tune stuff that he's done to the car)

Two wastegates helps eliminate boost creep. Boost creep is when the wastegate can’t release pressure fast enough and causing the turbo to over boost.

One ewg is actually help with boost creep. two is for ewg back pressure. it’s easier to evacuate exhaust gas out of two 38 mm holes instead of just one when running large amount of boosts and it helps manage boost a lot more than one

Teeeg if your feet hurt buy some Thorogood moc toe boots super comfy , I do construction in LA and I’m on my feet 12+ hours and my feet and leg ever hurt . Definitely a good buy , protect your feets

Dual wastegates retain twinscroll capability of the turbos exhaust housing (if it has a twinscroll housing that is). Focusing the exhaust gases on certain parts of the turbine wheel can help alot with boost response.

Two reasons to have 2 wastegates. One to reduce boost creep. Boost creep is when the exhaust gas flow out flows the outlet of the wastegate, hence why you run two. Second reason would be to run a twin scroll turbo. Twin scroll turbos have a divided housing that pulsates exhaust gas. Pulsating gas flow increases turbine wheel velocity. Which in terms reduces boost lag :)

Finally love see your vlogs

Twin wastegates are required to properly run a twinscroll turbo. Both sets of runners need to have WG's cracked in order to keep sending alternate pulses so the twinscroll is still working efficiently.

Since your car is equipped with a twinscroll turbo you need a wastegate on each side of the manifold. Otherwise your only bleeding off exhaust for half of the turbo

running 2 waste gates helps you tune your boost more precisely, you can make it more predictable, and you can run lower boost reliably. Alsooo, 2x the waste gate = 2x the waste gate noises.

Stock the supra comes with a twin scroll turbo. Assuming the Garrett is also twin scroll, thats why it uses two wastegates.

Duel wastegates will allow you to make the car come on harder and have better boost control but most of the time they’re usually used it for twin scroll turbo setups

Rule of thumb is a wastegate for every 4cylinders. Since it’s a 6cyl it is recommended to run 2

2 wastegates is fore the puls split and have precis boost preasure.

Just like old supra, switch turbo n power gain 💪
