Hey sourceCad, your thumbnail shows a rendered model. Can you please make another part of video to show how you rendered it?

Hello Jay, just another wonderfully crafted tutorial; clear explanations too. Your drawing tutorial introduces so many CAD elements that a beginner like me would not even think of. Please make lots more real world 3D and 2D drawing projects.

Hi! Very good, professional material! I learn a lot from your videos. Could you please make a tutorial or explain how did you make the final image of the speakers, meaning how do you render your objects to appear photorealistic? Thank you in advance!

hunsnowboarder02 I render these models using KEYSHOT and since my channel is focussed on AutoCAD videos hence I don't explain rendering but I will in future include rendering as well.

Andrew Schechter Welcome Andrew, I use Acer laptop for my design and drafting software's I would suggest you to select computer with good configuration like minimum 4 gb ram, certified graphics card, at least 2.1 ghz processor any thing better than this is definitely going to increase performance but these are minimum requirements in order to have smooth experience with your software's.

+SourceCAD Of course! You offer a great free service and I want to help you become popular like other Modeling/autocad channels (some have more than 100k). I also noticed how well you comment back and how you treat your subscribers (like how you mention my name in the comment and general quality) it is very professional! So, your're welcome, and thank you for being a part of the engineering KZread community. I believe that you will go far.

When I import a 3d model to 3D max from Auto cad it is always change the circular shapes into shapes like decagon. How can I solve this issue ?

  • @sourcecad

It generally happens when you import file in native CAD format, I am not sure of the exact reason why this happens but you can try a workaround to get high quality output. Export this cad file to .STP or .IGES format and then import that file in 3D max (I guess 3D max supports STP and IGS formats). I have tried with STP and it works great for me when I import it in keyshot.

Amar Memisevic I am unable to understand your exact requirements with these images, But as far as I understand you should change your co-ordinate orientation before making that circle.

galih permana Yes using positive sign or no sign will extrude in positive z axis in this case upwards but negative direction will extrude it downwards. If I could understand you might be facing problem with extrude use presspull and select area inside geometry instead of extrude let me know if it helped

for this picture a little bit difficult, I've practiced, but why a small circle does not want to circle round and great why he does not want a slightly curved downward. when I've used a radius corresponding in the video, and to which side I already use the command 'chain' with a radius of 0500 but only slightly affected by the fillet does not match that in the video you can see my pictures facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=800240026678606&set=a.315866525115961.66587.100000778479131&type=1

galih permana I would suggest you to use higher value of radius if 0.5 is not working for you, As I already mentioned you need not be precise just select values that suits you best
