My bro passed away this past year, that part of the video hit me in the feels.

High value cards used to mean something, they were special, unique, and valued well beyond the monetary price tag associated with them. Too many cards these days are given a similar price tag and have zero additional qualities to justify it.

yep. I'm only focused on LeBron and Kobe for a reason. LBJ/Kobe/MJ/Mantle/Ruth (among others in that special class of athlete) are cards that I know won't drop in value

@TMLZ_Cards all they have to do is stamp a number on the back and people go wild. Or place asticker auto on a card the player was never within thousands of miles of. Or insert a piece of jersey the player never wore. Or one of the thousand parallel colors they dream up.

Unfortunately Jackson Holiday is doing horrible. He'll probably get sent back to the minor with his .033 batting average and his cards will bomb. They've are already starting dropping. Who knows how low they'll go. Let's hope he rebounds in the future for collectors

Love them or hate them, seeing a father and big brother get the youngest those cards and the brothers hugging at the end is a great wholesome moment and at end of the day what this hobby is all about!!!! Awesome and great to see!!!!

Jeff- Glad to see you are a fan of the vintage autograph rookie cards. I steered my collection that way about 5-8 years ago...and it seems to be an area that is holding value well, and growing in value. Especially after the player passes away or gets inducted to the HOF. Any tips on who to look for? Rare sigs? Baseball over Football? Basketball? etc?

Babe Ruth is the only baseball player I own. Hate to see it go. But that Kobe/Lebron Refractor is SICK! I don’t own any. I had the chrome. Decided that I’m only buying Refractors. 90’s/2000’s Topps Refractors are my favorite cards to target right now.

He doesnt take that calculated risk like us normies with regular funds do. He can take these massive losses and be ok. The regular collector or investor cant. Its not sustainable

Having lots of money sitting in the bank is called “dead money” in the investing world. Only normies think saving lots of money for banks is the right move. Keep the money working. I guarantee he buys his cards with an LLC. If those cards lose value. It’s a tax write off against his losses. Learn and study how the big dogs do it. That’s the only way YOU get there one day. All these modern cards look the same and are easily reproduced every year. Every year, another million 1/1 versions of different cards and we're supposed to pay big bucks for them. lol.

Collectors these days are falling for it Hook, Line and Sinker ! Paying huge money because a card is 1/1....when next week another 1/1 is released. So many people are going to left holding the bag when the hobby crashes hard in a year or so.

Good kids. That hug reminded me of when I was in 6th grade and a boy who sat next to me in class promised me an Adam Bomb original GPK kid card. I doubted he'd come through but he claimed he didn't care about cards. The next day he unveiled a sharp and eye-popping AB card & handed it to me as though it was a normal thing to bestow such coveted gifts upon classmates. I was into GPK but my little brother who was about 8 obsessed over the stuff and i wanted him to have it. When i got home I told my bro I got an Adam Bomb and told him the story. He refused to believe me yet impatiently kept pushing me to get it out of my schoolbag. When i showed him he nearly fainted ha ha I said "It's yours kid" and he hugged me and called me a "legend" & the "coolest guy" for at least the rest of the day. Coincidentally, this happened in Roswell GA (a burb of ATL) as my father was expanding his business to the southeast at the time (we grew up in NY/CT & moved back the next year). Very fond memories & there were a lot of great people in that region. I recall the kids being exceptionally friendly (lived in Roswell & Marietta over a 2 year period).
