I watched the anime and haven't read the manga but can someone tell me why everytime I see a JJK discussion, people talk about everything other than Itadori? I see people talk about Sukuna, Gojo, Maki, Toji etc but almost never about Itadori.

That moment I saw Maki smile my heart lit up and I know she finna go ham next chapter. It's kinda cool that it took two weirdos with cool abilities to help her realize her mental anguish and get rid of it

i think this is not an issue of her weapon, but an issue with her mental state. what maki couldn't overcome when she was at her base form was she couldn't see curses without special lenses, yet some random dude from the past shows up, weilding mai like its his own, telling he can sense the negative space around him and landing a hit on the fastest curse they've faced created a mental turmoil that, she is in fact still isnt good enough.

Mai wanted nothing to do with that life. She was happy to pass on knowing Maki will burn it all down. Her coming back in any way other than a flashback would be disrespectful to Mai's character.

I don’t think them treating Maki the same as Toji was an accident. I think that just like cursed techniques, being born with no cursed energy ALSO runs in the Zenin family. And to great a being that has no cursed energy they have to basically treat people without cursed techniques like shit I think that it basically becomes like all the cursed energy in their bloodline manifesting as this heavenly restriction

Makis one hell of a badass and its great to see shes finishing where toji left off with the Zen’in clan.

And I am 100% happy about that. Majority of MC's in shonen are fuking boring at best, and Yuji is unfortunately one of them. The only thing that are interesting about Yuji are things comepletely outside of him i.e the fact that he is a vessel for Sukuna and the fact that Kenjaku gave birth to him. Two the most interesting things about him are not even his. Also, I am almost 100% sure that Gege is setting up big power up for Yuji, most likely in form of being able to use Sukuna techniques without giving away control over his body. That alone will push Yuji into echelon of Jujutsu Sorcery making him one of the most powerful beings in the story.

A main character can be present without being op, notice I am not complaining about the MC being weak, I am complaining about the MC not being there at all. That’s the difference.

there's also a huge spectrum when it comes to special grade. One of sukuna's fingers is considered special grade which can be easily dispatched even with kagegami totality then there's special grades like mikoto that are atleast 7-8 times stronger than the finger. So if you assess the grading scale of a special grade sorcerer being able to easily defeat a special grade curse then an argument can be made that one is a special grade sorcerer if they're able to defeat the special grade curses spawned by sukuna's finger.

I don’t think it’s killing intent. I think maki needs passion and to see everything not one thing. For example, if a martial artist is fighting someone with weapons they would both bring their experiences to the battle they both walked two different paths but ended up with one truth passion for their profession. A samurai would use their sword as an extra limb, A sumo wrestler would use their body’s as One instrument to push, pull and trip their opponent just like a samurai would use their sword in their respected manner. Now where toji and maki we’re practically ostracized in the same place weather differences began is where toji thought he gave up everything to be free and maki Lost everything to begin to gain everything slowly but surely she is walking her path of Dao. The fact that she opened up to someone completely about her troubles is proof that she’s letting go of the personality that she created when she was with the clan.
