I am 23 only lol but I would say just keep the skin light just like here and either apply a stronger lipstick color or go heavier on the eyes. The second option is my favorite as I have dry lips and in the past 3 years I wear 95% of the time a lipliner on the outer edge of my lips and lipbalm regardless, if it's a no makeup day or full glam. Lipstick tends to look crusty through the night, so I think heavier eyes are a better option. I think sometimes, when going out you just sweat off the face makeup, so having less on is better, but sometimes going full coverage can still be good depending on the season, where you go etc. I have dry skin, acne and rosacea, but I sweat very easily on my face, so applying a minimal amount of product in those places is the best option in case, even if I do want more coverage on the skin. In highschool I actually I didn't really have the cash to test through foundations, so the fullest coverage I ever had was L'oreal True Match and I didn't apply, concealer or contour. I did go heavier on my eyes though, even if looking back most of these looks weren't even heavy. I hope this somehow helped! I think all in all just making the look slightly more glam in any area, will make it more of a going out look and keeping the skin fresh will always be the best option.

The same thing happened to me. I ended up seeing a dermatologist who diagnosed me with Lupus (of the skin not the body) and we were able to treat accordingly. Hope that helps!

I'm a Millennial, and I thought this was amazingly helpful! I've also heard and seen that we should never apply bronzer or contour to our temples or under our cheekbones, but instead place the bronzer or contour on top of our cheekbones for lift, and use concealer and/or matte highlighter to our frown lines, temples, under the outside part of the brow and up, and under the under-eye bags, then obviously blend. ❤ Amazing result!

Teni, this is gorgeous. Will look into these products! But I have a question that I've been dying to ask forever; can you address why you don't use an eyelash curler? Time and again I've tried to apply like you and Andreea do, and my lashes are just. so. straight. They wont curl up. But I feel the lash curler tugging at the roots of my lashes on the lash line....should we all be able to coax our lashed upwards without curling them just in how we apply mascara? I'm even using Prime Lash which is supposed to be for older ladies and thinning lashes...thoughts?

I always enjoy your videos. You always make everything you do easy to understand and why something works for you. I do have a question, it's off topic with the video but it's something I struggle to understand and find out for myself. How do you find out what undertone you have for your skin and then what shades of foundation go with what undertones. For example- Elf has on their foundation the name and then under it says for pink undertones. How do you know what undertone color you really are? I hope with my confusion I am making some sense. :) Thanks for another great video!

Hi Lauryn, incase Teni doesn't see your question I think I can help you. Cool undertones(pinks, blues) look best on fair haired,blue or gray eyes and lighter skin. Warm undertones(yellows, oranges) are best for darker skin and dark eyed people. Neutral tones can suit both fair and dark skin. It's a little confusing but just ask next time at the beauty counter of your local department store. Or better yet, look on Google or KZread for instructions on how to find your undertones. There is alot of helpful information out there. 😊

Such a great Q. I struggled w this myseld for years. I know this doesn't answer your Q but I believe Teni is olive undertone which I am as well. Knowing this helped me tremendously when it came to choosing a foundation. Because for years I kept buying foundation suitable for pink undertone and it just looked awful. Knowing the right undertone does make a big difference. ❤

I would definitely give it a shot yes. Powder just tends to settle so much more and mattify skin as opposed to a healthy natural finish. What you can do is a light sweep of a cream product, then target just your oilier areas with a light bit of powder. I typically use a smaller eyeshadow brush so I can get into smaller areas and not apply it unnecessarily to a larger area.

I am loving everything about this look girlfriend. Easy, quick, and it still looks high quality. I realized that I have not updated my makeup to my age. No wonder sometimes I feel like I look like a clown lol. As I transition my makeup and tools, I'm going to start building up on cream based makeup now.

I tried this and it looked better than what I was doing. But I will say, I don’t mind you wearing more eye make up. Same for myself. I don’t mind wearing more eye make up in your 30s.

Im 43 and my makeup style has changed massively since I was younger (the late 90’s and early noughties were a special time 😂) In the last 5 years I focus much more on good skincare and less make up. I also use more cream and liquid products like you suggest. I never wear black eyeliner anymore either, it’s way too harsh I feel so I only use brown. Great video with helpful tips as usual, your skin looks unreal! 🥰

In all honesty I created Monday Born and my skin looks like this now because of it! Rebirth is our most transformative product, really smooths out texture. The Seven which I used in this video is actually the best moisturizer I’ve ever used.

Can you do something like this but with drugstore makeup.

I used to have dry skin in my 20s, and now I have oily skin! It's so wild how skin types change, and suddenly your holy grail products don't work like they used to. 😔
